Looking to buy a 2015/2016

I’m actually in the market for one of these coupes now. I see a couple 2015s with 30-40k miles around low 60s and a few 2015s with 15-20k miles around 68-69k roughly. Would you guys opt for a lower mileage higher price or you feel 30-40k miles on a 2015 is nothing? Also has anybody had any major issues with your 2015-2016s? Let me know

I have a 2016 and I've been very happy with it. No issues that I can recall except for a cracked panorama (glass) roof.
There is a 2016 S63 AMG on Bring-A-Trailer auction site that closes in two days. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...ign=2022-04-21

I don't think I would win that something like that would at least go to like 75-80k plus I don't want to deal with the long term cost of the amg. I appreciate the reply however. I dont think you fully answered my question lol but all good.

As far as the question of mileage, if it was well maintained 30,000 miles on a 2015 wouldn't be a problem IMO. My 2016 has about 25,000 miles now and I haven't had issues.

The main difference is that the 2016 has a 9spd transmission where the 2016 has a 7spd. I do not think there is a marked difference in fuel economy and both have occasional rough shifting; so I would not let this steer your decision but wanted you to know.

Gotcha, i just put a deposit down on a 2015 with 35k miles actually. It's got a good amount of options but no designo seat unfortunately. I'll live tho.

Yeah, I know the feeling of looking for one of these with the equip you want. I looked for over a year and and half but mine finally came along. These cars are pretty rare making it even more difficult. Good luck with yours.

Just purchased it!!! Man I got two big questions.
1.What tune should I get because the car KINDA needs it.
2. Anyway to add apple car play mod?

1. Renntech, Weistec Engineering, and Eurocharged are the big 3. OE Tuning is a forum sponsor that seems to have a lot of happy customers (their price is less much lower than RT or WE); also AMS has a tune but there is not much data on it. If it were me, I would go for the Weistec. I probably will later this year.

2. RoadTop, JoyEAuto, and IndiWork are the big 3 for this. You can find most of the information in the JoyEAuto threads on this forum. They're not close to perfect, but if you can install it yourself it's well worth <$300.

Congrats man! I went with Eurocharged stage 1 ECU tune and a TCU tune last year and am very happy. It really work the car up totally different car. I also added a Meisterchaft exhaust to it 2yrs ago. I felt like the exhaust was to quiet stock. You can get the same sound though for a lot cheaper with changing the downpipes and removing the resonators which would allow you to go stage 2 ECU tune and squeeze a little more power out of it. I didn't go this route because I wanted to be able to close the exhaust when i didn't want it loud. Enjoy the car and post up some pics when you get a chance.

Appreciate the response. I prob will just go without the apple car play as I'm not very handy. On top of that I may not even need the tune actually I think the car has plenty of power. Maybe next year not sure if I'm feeling a 2-3k tune. The only gripe I have so far is the sound system(regular burmeister) is just not loud enough especially for a car that was 130k. It gets plenty of base but the sound isn't high enough. What would you guys suggest I do? Other than that I think it's probably the best car I've ever owned and I've had A LOT of nice cars.

**This post is supposed to be in the "what's your mileage" thread** Please move if possible

2015 E63s. Bought July this year (2023) with 65,250 miles bone stock. Before pick up the indy did a new driver front strut as they thought that was making the squeaking noise. Turned out to be that common lower arm. They replaced all cam sensors as there was signs of oil but very minimal in 2 (bone dry ecu).

Car now has 68k and is EC stage 1, lowered on H&R coils and links. Just last week did trans and rear diff service. Replaced the P Zeros as I got a bubble in the passenger front.

Plugs, coils & EC TCU tune in the new few weeks. I love everything about this car so far (even the frequent trips to the gas station and checking the oil often)
