Sedan vs coupe
I'm on my sixth s class sedan-- all bought used, driven to about 90,000 miles and replaced with a low mileage newer model. Now, I'm interested in something like the s coupe.
How do the sedan and and coupe compare as daily drivers? A few years ago I test drove a cls but found it to be too small. When I looked at an s coupe, the back seat was pretty much useless for me, but I no longer need that rear room. Does the coupe ride like the sedan? How about ride noise?

I love the coupe personally. A friend has an S65 sedan and its nice, but the interior of my coupe kills it in my opinion. Its such a great place to be. The coupe gives you a different vibe. Both are great and will make you happy, but I'm team coupe!

If the rear seats are for 'occasional use only'... coupe all the way!
Just a stunning platform that you won't see yourself on the road everyday ;-)

Further, now that S class coupe/cabriolet production is terminated they both will some day be collectibles.
As evidence witness pricing on 71-74 S class coupe/cabriolet.
The same can't be said for the sedan!!
My opinion.

As long as you don't need the rear seat for riders, coupe is the answer IMHO. It is definitely not a family car as the rear seat is extremely difficult to access for adults.

As long as you do not need it for passengers and also as long as it is not your only car.

I go back and forth. They are the only ICE cars I am interested in. I favor the coupe because of the shorter length, don't need the ridiculous amount of rear leg room. The coupe is probably one of the most beautiful cars made but I do like the traditional sedan look as well. The things I like about the sedan is the more upright seating position, visibility and more open feeling interior.
