Traded in 2016 E550 Cab, looking at S Class Cabs

Owned since New.... Why traded in you ask ? Well.... after 3 trips to MB Sarasota, a new set of tires, 2 trips to have them balanced and a bent rim, that may or may not have actually been bent... A vibration at 60+ was still not fixed....

In a fit of frustration i traded it in for a........ you sitting ? lol, Maserati Levante Modena... Wife missed my old 2019 GLE63s we sold a few years back... so went for a different SUV... frankly i really like it, sounds wicked, handles/feels more like sports car than the GLE did...

But Wifey just cant get comfortable or high enough in the seat to see good.... insert short jokes here

So after a short time we may be coming back...

Looking at 1-2 maybe 3 Cabs, Last of the S Class cabs, Lexus LC500 Cab and maybe a 911..... still shopping...

Anything to avoid or beware of on the S560/S63 Cabs ?

Thanks

Mike

MB’s
Hello neighbor! Sorry to hear that! MB of Sarasota is usually good about correcting issues. There should be no shortage of S Cabriolet’s in Florida. A S560 with a tune is more than enough power. They are a nice ride minus the lack of rear seat room.

Hi Thanks for the reply, the 911 has been ruled out, My wife can't see very well out of it .... that's too bad, never had a 911 although I have driven them a few times and I really like how they drive

So it's a S560 or a LC500, waiting on the S560 Sarasota MB has coming in, but it's really looking like the LC500 will win...

Drove a 2024 LC500 and It was very comfortable, plenty of room for 6'-2" me and 5'-2" Wife, Handled nice and felt very German not Like the last Lexus we had in 2004.

Was not prepared for the sound of the 5.0 liter V8.. Umm Wow. Nice low growl at low speed but hit 3k or so even at an easy throttle and it wakes up. Very Impressive.

I like George the MB Salesman in Sarasota so will wait for the 560 to come in but at 90k or for a 2020 versus a new 2024 Lexus at about $100k with 4yr warranty it's not looking good for the MB...

Will update when a decision is made

Mike and Jackie

What color is it? Does it have heads up? Does it have upgraded Burmeister? I am looking too.

I believe it was Dark Blue, George called yesterday to tell me it never made it to Sarasota, was sold on the way lol... We are bit all over the map, looking at a DB11 on Thursday, that should be fun

One interesting note on the S560/S63. At 6-2 i just fit in that model versus the 2016 E550 Cab where I didn't have to put the seat all the way back....
