Offficial W126 Picture Thread
No major changes, but new look. Depo Euro headlights with Bi-xenon and city lights to replace US style parking lights, with smoked corners. Looks better, and I see better
Wheels are coming soon..... And I took off the damaged front AMG air dam to repair and repaint.

...and These are the beautys she'll be sitting on very soon

when you gonna show us a more recent photo of your benzy baby? Looking at the pic in the bottom of your posts I'd guess you've got the wheels on now. It also looks like you got some sort of front spoiler that goes under the bumper.... where'd you get that. You have it, so does that guy Panzr, and I would love to get it too.....
I haven't done anything to my car's body yet.... it's gonna go shiny black, and get lowered, and get new wheels...but I can't quit tinkering with the motor. I'm having my heads ported and polished, and getting custom exhaust manifold made. The old 500 SEL is gonna run like a Hoss. Once she's done, and I can find money in this recession, I'm gonna start with the cosmetics.
Yours is looking pretty sweet BADwayz.

New here, had this car for 2 years and soon to start a 500SEC project (potential bags and ridiculous wheels). 20" Daytons (appropriate since Dayton Wire is a local company) with custom Bilsteins and Eibachs, doubled up steering dampers and a necessary alignment. Just got it freshly painted, so here are some pics.

And for fun, the winter set. 24k gold (you wouldn't believe the looks this thing gets on these, it's hysterical).

I hope you guys find this car as amusing and fun as I do.

I am working on getting the car to sit a bit lower but with the offset of the 20s it really can't since the front rubs on big bumps at the height it sits now. Following the completion of the 500 project, I think I'm gonna ditch the wires and try something smaller and adjust the suspension accordingly.

I really admire all your cars. It was my first Mercedes and I was hooked.
Of all the S-classes I've owned, nothing compares and I currently have a 221 and 220. At one time I also had a 140 and 116 but the 126 is a a true classic, after looking through pictures it makes me want to get another one and restore just to bring back memories.
I remember back in the 80's and early 90's it was really special to have an AMG. Funny how it's presense at the time was that of much higher end vehicles. Actually if you consider the cost of these cars back in the 80's it makes todays S-Classes a bargain.
In regards to my 126 it took a beating, it was originally my father's since new in 1987 and I took it over with 25000 miles put Euro bumpers with an AMG kit along with Euro cat-less downpipe and exhaust. I drag raced it almost weekly till I retired from racing with 180000 miles with not a single issue. It had the 5.6L with a 350hp direct port nitrous oxide kit. Even with 18 x 10 MK Motorsport wheels I can literally smoke the tires halfway the track.
I actually was trying to look through my stash of old flyers and magazines for contents of my car. Found one so far, a flyer back in 1995 doing a burnout at Sacramento Raceway.
I never did get low ETs at the strip as the car could not get traction but when it finally does it moves. My fastest was 12.7 @ 117mph while literally smoking 1st gear. On the highway, I would take on Supra Turbos, Porsches, etc. and thats with passengers.
Hope I can join the club soon.
