Had 123's, 115's, and 126's...............by far, the best overall is the 350sdl. SO MANY PEOPLE BEAT THE STRAIGHT 6 DIESEL UP?!~ Uno, we are talking about a car that for a 4000 pounder+, that holds its own.
Sure, the 617 diesel is what put Mercedes diesel in the books. If you stay on top of driving right and service, the 603 can really turn you into a true diesel fan!! (not to mention MPG)

Doing the 603 Diesel now.........
Uno, there's reasons why MERCEDES built the #603 diesel. Not a bad diesel at all, just a bit more TLC than the #617 diesel in the 123 ch.
Like, smoother, better torque, better MPG,quieter,etc..................

Thanks. It was my dad's. 1990. About to hit 200k. Still in almost "showroom" condition. He was meticulous about maintenance, as am I. No real problems at all. It's been a relatively trouble free car from day one.
