'nice 928 in background'
yes the 928 in the background is my 1994 GTS. 350hp 5.4 litre quad cam. It's a superb car with just 94k km on it. I'm wanting to sell it though because I just don't get to drive it and I have an '81 928 as well.

C43AMG: I like your car a lot. My gf would probably like it even more (partial to black, and yours looks like it is black on black on black). Stock wheels, right? Still look great... I'm debating whether to get those or the Type 8.
KLP: Nice SEC... very nice~!
to all W126 owners for posting great pics...

1985 380SE with High Compression 560 motor and LPG
The best thing about this W126 is the performance! Its only 1610kgs being a low spec, SWB body, but has had a high compression 225KW/455NM motor from a Euro 560 put in.

The wheels are stock , original s that came with the car. They are a little beat-up.I will probably get a new set after summer and leave the old ones on for the winter.

man all ur cars are really taken care off..nice wheels on some. my 87 merc 300se wont be seeing any changes to its bone stock format for a long time to come...its faultless as it is for now, other than for some smell issue at high speeds

KLP 92 - Your SEC is awesome. That body style, in that color, with that stance is like the devil dressed for co*ktails - a bad a$$ smooth mother**cker. Your car will never stop turning heads, the lines are classic. IMHO. Congrats.

Thanks for all your comments.
I had a full baremetal paint job done it, i mean the doors taken off, bonnet off, rear screen out, new panel welded under the rear screen etc. Its painted in a MB Designo black colour to make it stand out from the other blacks.
More pics in my restoration are inc here:
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w126...d-560-sec.html
The car has had AMG cams fitted and has a complete engine build inc polished and ported heads, new valves, timing chan, all seals replaced new oil pump etc. The gearbox and diff have been rebuilt, all the suspension and joints have been renewed, the steerign box has been replaced and the entire cooling system has been renewed. I have the interior left now, am waiting to save up some money before blowing it again!

KLP - ^^ awesome.
You own my favorite car on this entire forum, bar none,(including mine)...
Would'nt you rather have a brilliant silver 2000 Kleemann CLK 430??? I'm sure that a transatlantic exchange could be arranged...
Congrats again on one superfine example of a timeless classic.

Helloooo everybody, here's my 1985 500SEL
The wheels you see in my sig are a bit too wide to keep on my car until I can get the guards rolled...who knows when I'll get round to that!

I've done lot of things with this car, most of it myself, which is very satisfying and rewarding
It's a real 'work in progress' and probably always will be, barely a week goes by without me thinking up something new to add in some small way
Here's what I started with, a nice original W126
