Here is a couple shots of my prize.
I rescued this car from the crusher. It was destined to be crushed by the CARB buy back program for not passing smog. 3 months chasing down vacuum leaks, a fuel leak(tank Vent hose) and $175.00 in parts to pass the smog test. I did spend more than that total, what with the "while I'm in here" syndrome, all new Vacuum lines and rubber connectors, new 3/2 Valve, Throttle body switch, and gasket, and a new exhaust system(only the cat was needed and in the total for smog).
I took these Last Monday her Registration date. Finally!![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)

I present The Blue Bird.
1984 Euro 500 SEC #932 Lapis Blue Metalflake/#258 Orion two color Grey. 135,000 Miles

Amazing car you have there.
I go through phases a couple times per year where I try to find a really nice W126 300SDL and I never succeed....
Given their invincibility, examples in nice mechanical condition always seem available, but I can't ever find one that LOOKS perfect. I guess I'll keep looking.
Truly the ultimate "modern" Mercedes. For those of us who will never have the money to own something like a 500K but still want a Mercedes that was literally built to last forever, the W126 is the best option.

There's something wrong with crushing a W126! Kudos to you for giving her a second life, she looks great!

I am going to re-finish my original rims soon, but I don't know the code for the paint. I was able to get a Ford color that is very similar. Could you guys help?
