Is this a real AMG 126?

Hi all,

Bought what I think is a AMG 126 but might as well be a AMG kitted regular 126. I haven't taken delivery of the car yet but these are the auction photos.

No way to tell from the photos. You'd look for badges, stickers, paperwork, invoices, etc to see if AMG built it or not.

Thanks for your response.

I'll check all this once I get the car. If not I guess I'll part it up...

So i finally took delivery of my car I bought in Florida. The car has a lot of rust on the chassi. Engine and transmission works fine.

The car came with user manuals and papers certifying the AMG parts.

I uploaded more picture of the manuals and the car.

I would appreciate any comments regarding the car.

Those AMG papers are probably worth as much as the car!

Yes probably. Do you think the car is worth saving or should it just be for parts?

Rust is very difficult to deal with and expensive to repair. Plus the engine bay is so rusted I am not sure it can ever be brought back.

I would probably part it if you got it for a good price.

Yes that's probably the best way to go. I'll decide once I get my estimate from my body shop.

Thanks for your response.
