anyone doing any stance work on these 300sd's. ive been looking into it but don't know where to even start. how lower will lowering springs get me? airbags? amg lip kits for the 300sd? any help would be great.

If you mean the VW version of stance, which is purely stupid, I don't think you'll find much help here. Best off going over to one of the VW fail forums.
If you mean a nice euro look, then go with the H&R's or Eibachs with Bilstein HD's (if you speak their language, you can find adjustable Bilstein shocks in Germany). Different thickness spring pads will help fine tune the height.
As for the bodykit, search on ebay. There is a difference between the SWB and LWB cars. Also, hop on Benzworld and keep an eye on the for sale items. Try to buy authentic AMG parts, as the replica stuff is fairly shoddy quality.
