Dome Lamp Time Delay Relay Schematic
Hi all. This is my first post and I thought I would contribute. I recently had a problem with my dome light staying on and draining the battery in my 1983 380SEC. I determined it was a bad electrolytic capacitor on the dome lamp relay board located inside the dome lamp. During my investigation, I couldn't find this part for a reasonable price or much information to troubleshoot and repair the circuit board so I reverse engineered it and repaired it myself. I have attached the schematic and parts list to his post. i couldn't identify a few of the diodes but for the harder to find parts, I provided links to spec sheets. All of the part numbers listed on the pdf attachment are for Digi-Key (www.digikey.com).. I hope this helps someone here fix their issue. I do not know what other model years this applies to but I can say for sure this is the time delay relay (TDR) board in my 1983 380SEC dome light.
