Where to start? The Italians or the Germans?
I am not signing up for dropbox, and I doubt anybody else will either. You should post the photos directly here.

Everything looks good besides the engine is a SOHC 2V motor not the DOHC 4V. That makes me a little nervous because somebody could have replaced the 2V 6L engine with any other engine and you would have no idea unless you get inside the motor to confirm displacement. Body kit, wheels, interior all look good. Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. Just out of curiosity, is the car still in Japan or is it exported elsewhere already? What's the sellers asking price?

Best,
Ricky

It looks like a „barn find”. I want to do a full detailing, full service and all the things to make it great again. After that we’ll see. Maybe I’ll sell it. Keep an eye for mbmarket and BaT auctions…

You definitely need to confirm the engine is a 6L. You will not get anywhere near what the car is worth unless you can prove the displacement. There are too many of these floating around that have stories or (I'm assuming like this one) that lack any sort of paperwork from AMG. It looks like a great starting point. Please post up some pictures once you get it. I absolutely love these cars and it's great to have another forum member with one. I love my 2V 6L coupe. It's fantastic. The power is so smooth and the rumble from the exhaust just intoxicating. Mercedes really should look back through their history books and build cars like this again. All they make now are comuter banks on wheels that don't even drive that much better than a mid level Chevy.

What you just wrote about modern mb cars is sad truth… I own some old mb cars and they are great.
When 560sel will arrive I’ll post some pictures. And of course I’ll do check of the engine.

Congratulations OP. The car is a real AMG. Coming out of Japan they won’t have replaced the engine as no need for it. No resale market for cars in Japan and those bent eights just don’t fail. Looks rough as so many of them do after being forgotten.

do you have any idea about which storage box should be in center console? I’ve found this one.
I also have the one with roller closing.

As far as I know, the center console storage is just a preference. I don't know if there's any way of telling what "should" be there (IE what came from the factory).
