Top Speed in 140?

Guys, what is the top speed on our cars.

What is the most you have done and how was the car at that speed?

1st week I got the car I took it for a road trip and was able to get it up to 130mph on an empty highway in 3rd gear. I am sure I could have gone faster, but with winter tires on the car I didn't want to press my luck.
The car was stable as it is at 60 mph. What a rush

i think they didn't assume it could go that high, and its natural top speed was around the same level so i figure they just assumed it wasn't worth it

Mercedes S600 1997
Hi Folks
I Have Already Wanted To Ask This Question In A Thread, And I'm Very Curious.
My Car Is A Slightly Tuned S600 With 454hp And My Highest Speed Was Out Of The Tacho Scale.
When My Car Was Tuned And Measured On A Dyno , The Guys Took Out The Limiter And Told Me Out Of The Computer That The Car Is Able To Run 298-300kmh =185-187 Mph At Best.
The Transmission Gearing Would Allow The Car To Do Even A Bit More But 454hp Is Not Enough For More.
At My Highspeed Run The Rpm Was Not Close To The Redline.
The 582hp Brabus 7.3 V12 Can Do 314kmh =195-196mph.
I Think I Was Around 280-290kmh=180mph.
I Made Some Calculations Out Of The Rpm , Tranny Gearing , Tyre Circumference ( 255/40/19) And So Came Out The 280-290kmh , But I'm Planning To Drive With A Gps On , So That Can Measure The Exact Speed.
It Will Not Be Done In The Near Future As My Car Is " Under Construction " Recently.
I Can't Wait To Show You The Result.
Thanks Dennis

Isn't the 600SEL/S600's final drive ratio 2.65:1?

Yes. The final drive ratio is 2.65 , but with the 5 speed automatic the 5th gear is 0.83.
The older 4 speed automatic has 1.0 ratioat the end ( in 4th ) and that is the same for the 4th gear for the 5 speed automatic , but there is one more gear.
The car can go over 250 in the 4th gear, so no problem with 300 in the 5th.

155MPH on a 1992 600SEL with staggered AMG wheels. It almost feels as an orgasm

140 in the 140

A solid 140mph in my S320! Stable, quite, and felt like it wanted to keep going. Amazing performance for a 6 in a heavy car.
