What do you do besides fix your W140?

Yes, my antiques have had their share of problems but that is what makes them fun projects. I use the winter months to make any adjustments to get them ready for show season in the spring. It is to be expected from 20-30+ year old cars to have a few issues here and there

MACI-I just wondering how your slogon was come about??? did you and some guy in a C class get in a fight or something?? I know its been there long before NY C32 and you have gone tooth and nail....But im with you about it...I too would rather have a w140 then a C(not knocking the c there phat too)..but in ALL honesty i would rather have a W140 then the W220 too.....but the New w221 is what i wouldnt mind having!

Actually Maci's Smoke Silver w140 with the body kit is a 1994 S420. He updated the headlights and tails to look like a 1997-1999 w140.

..and a S-class IS better then not just the C but every class MB makes....theres a reason why there a $50k value difference and comparing the two doesnt make ANY sense...i understand the value of a w140 isnt much anymore but you cant take away what the value use to be..in 7 years the w220 will be where the w140 is,that doesnt take away the cars class and where it stands...value drops in every car..then SOME go back up when they become classics...W140 might not be worth what is was but it still is one of the nicest looking sedans on the face of this earth..and you cant take that away just cause a new c class has more value then the w140...that New C will drop value one day then what will we argue about??? "My New Kia is better then a OLD C CLass?"..C and S class are awesome cars...but the S Class WILL ALLWAYS be the better class of MB Sedans.period.

i agree with you benzkid, my father had the w140 back in the day and that **** was poppin. but this fool maci on the otherhand, imo is ruining a perfectly good w140 with all the fake **** and whack paint job hes planning on getting while talking **** about everyone elses cars so it is what it is. hey to each his own...
edit: btw an s320 thats rebadged as an s600 with v12 badges is def NOT a HIGHER CLASS than a c class. that **** is straight up LOW CLASS, poser type ****! period.

the SLR is is not a Class its a exotic car...Go to MBUSA and ask them what there superior class of there company is..its been the S Class for 5 generations. im not making the rules thats, there company and they made the S the highest class. just like LS is the flagship for the lexus lin-up or the 7-series for BMW thats there flagship class,specialty cars like the ones you stated are in a TOTALY different situation..there exotic's..but again i said "Sedan".
