In general, places like Pepboys (nationwide franchises), do not have seasoned mechanics.. your Mercedes was probably one of the first they have seen in their shop. I usually stick with specialty shops or the dealership.

Glad you made it out safely, do you have any new pictures with the centercaps?

I wouldn't bring my Camry to a Pepboys let alone my MB.

You had better check your lug bolts and make sure you can get them off. Most of those guys are pretty stupid or don't care so they run them on to a million foot pounds with an impact gun. Then when you get a flat you are sol, call a tow truck.

Would never go to a Pepboys to get service. Only for maintenance stuff (i.e. soap, wax, brushes, filters and oil filters for my Toyota not my MB)..those kids are incompetent - come on now, for most it's their first job.

Well really how is Walmart worse then Pepboys? I mean Walmart probably would do a great job of stripping your lug bolts, poorly balancing your tires.

Did they change your oil as well? You probably got the .99 a quart crap with a super cheap filter. It probably is 5w30 to.

The old saying you get what you pay for applies here.

My Uncle took his 745il to Wallyworld and they cut the rim somehow and when he opened the door he hit the lift pole and put in dent in the Bemmer..thats why i didnt go there,I used Penzoil High Milages in it..the problem was it took forever and the rebalancing(something about the weights, they used weights for custom wheels he said)...the guys i go to normaly were backed up and i needed to go quickly, however that didnt happen..but i wont be going back.
