To NY C32 & Maci911
This is my first time posting here and please forgive me if I am touching an already stale topic here but I just feel that I needed to say a few words for maci911 in what he steadfastedly believed in all along... IN ESSENCE, the s class is superior to e and c class be it an old or new model and this is a fact that we will have to accept whether you like it or not in the mercedes hierarchy. If you disprove this fact then why in the world would you think diplomats, presidents, queens, celebrities, famous political figures and even people who are "projected" as high class or respected individuals in movie films decide to get out of an S class and not a c class?? I would first like an answer to that. Do you really think a diplomat or a president would really prefer to get out of a c class or maybe even an E? You can probably name a dozen of these scenes... I will try to stay neutral on my grounds and I hope I have not brought any hard feelings to anyone. I just thought we'd show a little sympathy to maci911 who just wants to voice some of his statements. It is the members in this forum who make it a reality and without one there wont be the other. BY the way how do I put up an image like benzkid did? Sorry for my ignorance as I'm not computer literate. Do I have to do something to html or something

I really do not want to participate in this petty argument about class designations, who has the bigger wallet, etc etc. Everyone has a different reason for what they drive.
On another note, Do you have a 7.3 S600? If so, please do share pictures! You have to find a host where you can upload the pictures and then link them using the picture button

Oh, and to address your point on which car I see more celebrities, politicians and VIPS get out of? It may not be a C-class, but its not an S-class either. Here in NYC, I see more celebrities, politicians and VIP's getting out of chauffer driven Lincoln's towncars and SUV's. So are based on your argument, a Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Towncar must be better than an S-class?

oh yea maci, just cause you seem to really have a hard time grasping the whole debate on class ill break it down for you.
1> we all know and understand that the s class is mercedes flagship sedan
2> we are not talking about class in terms of which car sold for more loot brand new or how many celebrities drive which car or whatever
3> we are talking about how a person takes an old, great car and destroys it and makes it CLASSLESS by adding fake **** on it, getting it painted at maaco, rebadging it s600 V12, whack body kit, etc. you take all the class and greatness away from the w140 when you do that **** to it and in essence are turning a car that was of a high class to low class, lower than a riced out ford focus.

i am in no way connected or know this fellow with a 7.3 amg ,i got the white benz pic somewhere on the net.....i dont really care if someone sympathises with me or not...
and bklbenz its not for you to deside what is class ....who are you god?....or maybe you are mercedes engineer from Germany.....probably not.....
afterall if you are interested i can paint your car white & put a body kit & 600 badges.................... are u up to it with your car ..............

Hey!! i might have a"old ***" benz but its still nicer then most newer cars today(other then newer benz,bmw,ect)...would that mean people who buy '55 sl300's too are lower class?? cause a '55 300sl cost more then a new benz...if you have a problem with maci thats fine but dont knock other w140 owners with a saying like that...
