something sparked and now I have no power steering???? H E L P
I was trying to fix some issues I was having with my shifter that I posted earlier and playing with a electrical switch by the shifter housing something sparked and now I have not much power steering....any suggestions...I tryed all the fuses in the trunk and under the hood..I guess that is the only spots for fuses are there any other....what did I do guys

i think there are some fuses on the
driver's side door by the parking brake release. check those also, just reset the computer by the unplugging the battery, if nothing then check to make sure there is fluid in the reservoir, and make sure all the plugs are in.

check the fuses on the base module, it is located in the module box under the engine hood on the passenger side below the windshield area, there are red 10amp fuses there, you likely popped one.

1993 Mercedes 300SE
There is a box of fuses DRIVER side under the hood next to the front glass.......checked those nothing blown......the spark happened at the gear shifter...I had it all taken apart......the trans seems to be slipping a lil now to this all happened right after the spark.....I have messed something up bad im afraid....I have not taken power off of the battery yet to reset the system as requested by another thread....what now......also the two wires at the gear shifter that sparked (transpher switch from 4th to D) are dead nothing happens now when I touch them together so its sound like a fuse but its not HELP

are they the same ones i mentioned above? you said you had checked them earlier, were you mistaken or just not finding them? i tried to post a picture, but could not find a good one,

Yeah they are the ones you mentioned, just not alot of detail on where to find them. I had to replace them some time ago and I found them really hard to find at first.
