1999 S320 LWB with 15k miles What should i change?

So i have a 1999 S320 with 15k original miles that has been sitting in the garage for all its life. It hasn't been driven in about 2-3 years but i just started it yesterday and it was fine. So what fluids or service should i get done before i start driving it on the regular? I am thinking oil change for sure and maybe a coolant flush? Any help is appreciated.

Might want to consider trans and diff fluids also. Check spark plug wires and boots for deterioating rubber, etc.

Trans was "sealed for life", current recommendation is to have fluid/filter changed every 39k miles. You'll need the factory dip stick tool and fluid specifically for the 722.6 OR .9 trans only.

The 39k service is for the 7 speeds last time i checked it was 60k for the 5 speeds...
but i would do it every 30k to be safe

Check again.....722.6 = 60k km = 39k mile in dealer speak. Yes, I know the math isnt correct.....

If you do not mind me asking, why even bother owning a car that you have not even started in 2 - 3 years? I cannot imagine that car becoming a collectors item anytime soon with so many built. Just seems like a waste of a perfectly nice car to me.

On the other part of this, you are for sure in for a fluids flush of most major areas. I would think oil change, brake fluid, coolant would be good places to start. Of course, this begs the other question, what are you going to do with the car? Are you actually going to drive it now, or just let it sit for 2 -3 more years? I mean that seriously. Beause if you are just going to let it sit again, that changes the list of 'road ready' services you should consider. All the best.

So i had a oil change and coolant flush done. Do i need to flush the brake, transmission, and differential fluids? I can't go by mileage since i haven't driven the car so if the fluids don't go bad over time then i will just leave it.

The reason it hasn't been driven at all is because the car used to be a weekend car when it was first purchased. Each person in the family has their own cars so this one is basically this one never gets touched. This car is the last model Mercedes went all out designing and making. Every other benz they made after is budgeted and not as good quality. I've sat in almost every model of the newer Mercedes and we purchased a ML350 and a C230 and none of them compare to the quality of this one. If you owned this model you would know. It may not be a collectors car but i highly doubt you will find another one with 15k miles and in mint condition. I thought about selling the car but after driving with the fluids change i think it will be a keeper. It will be driven every week from now on.

You ought to be able to get an owners manual and service booklet from MBUSA whihc would have some of that info. Additionally, the A and B service sheet would also.

Most fluids, have a finite life. Oil is xx,xxx miles or one year, which ever comes first.

Yours ought to get a good synthetic oil. M1 Euro Blend 0W/40 came from the factory in the time frame yours and mine were built.
