93 mercedes

Value of 1993 S600 Lorinser

I have a 93 S600 Lorinser V12 with 117k miles.Bullet proof windows in good condition that I want to sell.
Can anyone help with the value of this car?

140s did not come with bulletproof windows. They are merely dualpaned glass. If your car was upgraded to bulletproof glass then thats another thing

insullated windows

the insulation is for sound deadning
SO you wont hear it when the shot comes thru the window

KBB says a 1993 S600 w/117K is worth about $5K U.S. in good condition. It's a safe bet any "Lorinser" aftermarket work is worht $0 at best, and quite possibly reduce the value of the car.

Honestly, that's a bit harsh - but you need to be patient. Any aftermarket or custom work has the potential to take value away from a car. Remember: car companies make a car that appeals to a broad range of people, but everything done to the car afterwards is made to appeal to 1 person: the owner. Best example was a buddy's green Audi S5 (shown, below). He sold it through a broker, and - when he asked the broker what he should expect to get for the car, the broker said "it'll sell for $4000 under book value, or $4000 over ... depends on the buyer".

Same applies to Lorinser, RENNtech, etc.

i have a 94 w140 with original lorinser body kits, 19rims, full lorinser twin exhaust S600 got it for Php1,000,000 phil pesos thats around US$23,000, i purchased this car march 2000. now the price for an all stock S600 is down to Php700,000 pesos or around US$14,000, so the 5k estimate i think is a bit too low,

yeah i agree, location is the key, in hongkong they are selling cars for scrap, i mean my cousin got a 99 E240 avantgarde for US$12,000 and it just had 1 owner with less than 10,000miles,

The $5K value I posted is the "good" condition KBB number, so is applicable to the U.S. Now granted, all such pricing numbers are negotiable on a car as thinly traded as the S class Benz, let alone an S600. We don't know anything about the cars condition, accident history, maintenance history, or even what Lorinser did to it. That said, demand for old w140 S class cars is rather low because not too many people want to deal with the complexity and expense of maintaining and repairing one - and the S600 is the most expensive and complex. Low demand equals low market price.

Come on guys....prices are based on market area AND what the buyer is willing to pay.
Even a SL 600...mid 90's...which command more money than a same year Lorinser..sell for around 8~10K.
Sellers want the most money....buyers want to pay the least.
Start at 6~7K and wait for offers....
I'd offer 4K....cause I know already I will spend another 1/2/3/4K for unforseen repairs.
