you might also want to change your fuel filter and fuel line as well, same with your mas, they might be going out, but after 13 years they are for sure not working as well as they should be, andi seriously think you should have the ngk plugs and mag core wires put it, you will notice a difference, and did you ever think about an amg body kit, it looks very good on your car, make it even closer to being an amg...

yeah the amg kits are expensive...anyone has suggestions on body kits to get? i like the wald ones but don't wanna pay for the real ones. anyone tried the replica? i apologies for sounding cheap - body kits r nice but not worth that much money. i rather spend those cash on exhaust, springs, chip ,etc...has anyone tried the eruboni (spelling?) - I think they are replicas too. thanks.

i heard replica WALD kits are really low quality b/c they are fiberglass not polyurathane like the true WALD kits, thats why the real kits cost so much. honestly i think body kit is waste of time, if you get nice wheels and a nice suspension drop it will totally change the stance and look of hte car anyways, I dont need body kit b/c i think its perfect as is.

Hey guys, I'm taking the car in the shop today. seems like my fuel problems were fuel pump related so im gonna go ahead and replace at least one if not both, plus a new fuel filter (stock one is still in there). That should solve all my fuel problems. while its there I ordered a set of Semi-metallic Duralast brake pads for the benz b/c mine are paper thin now. The semi-metallic pads should help out the performance alot, alot of the bmw E30 guys have used them and seen great results just from pad alone. The best part... they are SUPER CHEAP. $45 for both front and rear pads. I will let yall know the results of the brake pads once they are installed.

I also am gonna go ahead and do the Aero Turbine mod and get rid of the glasspack resonator. It was decent but its starting to get gradually louder over time. if anyone wants it i will give it away for free ( u just pay shipping). I also want to do a catalytic converter relocation and bypas the stock cats on the headers and move the cat further back to the center section of the car. This really helps the flow of the car (similar mods are done on the new M3's and net about 8-10 HP). Putting the cats too close to the headers hurts performance quite a bit. that plus a decently free flowing cat will really help the performance compared to 13 year old stock cats. should be interesting to see the results.


The project is on the home stretch guys, anyways just keepin yall updated. ttyl

UPDATE: Gen 3 exhaust pics finally up

Hey guys,

sorry it took forever but i finally took pics. The bigger tips were installed (yes i know they are upside down, damn shop put them on wrong but im gonna fix that soon). The exhaust is a 18" magnaflow free flow muffler and the bends are true mandrel bends as you can see and the 34" resonator is installed as you can see. I just sprayed the system with black rustoleum instead of the white coat that was on there just to make it more OEM looking, so it still looks alittle wet. I will do another black coating later on once i get a better chance. anyways here they are...

u mean those $165 ripoff tips off ebay... waste of money. nothing flow better than a freeflow magnaflow anyways.

well just cuz its amg does not mean its the freest flowing exhaust. AMGs are still not straight free flow. they are still slightly restrictive in order to still keep the mercedes quiet. plus... no AMG was ever made for the 6-cyls so there is no such thing anyways b/c 8's 12's have different piping diameter, so have to go custom.

But, are you not going for an AMG?????? Isn't the whole point to your "S 32 ///AMG project" is to build an AMG? You better change the name of your project if it isn't. To my knowledge AMG did build an exhaust system for a 6 cyl. engine. = C32

you are obviously new to the car world. Just b/c an exhaust is from a C32 does not mean you can swap it over to another completely different chassis and it will fit and bolt right now. Why would u pay for a stock AMG exhaust when it won't make as much power.

the purpose of this project is to make as much power out of a 6cyl M104 engine using whatever components i want. I am trying to make the S320 in my own interpretation of what an AMG would be like if it ever did come out.

New to the car world???? no. I understand the fact that one cannot bolt on a C32 exhaust to your car's chasis, but you could customize it to make it work. In a previous post you stated that AMG did not make a 6 cyl. exhaust system, I said no, you are wrong and supplied you the correct answer. I am just confused on what you are doing and why you are claiming that it is an "AMG" project if you are not using all AMG components....wait, you do have the wheels and the trunk emblem and perhaps even the floor mats--nevermind it's an AMG .

The reason why you would pay for an AMG exhaust is because you are doing the "S32 ???AMG" project- right? My point and question is this, how can it be an "AMG project" if you are not using AMG components? And if it is your interpretation of what it should be then maybe, just maybe you should change the name of the project to OmeyHomey.

they did not make a 6cyl W140. Why would i put a restrictive exhaust on a car on purpose... thats plain stupid. I will tune the car with what i know works and not just to be brand loyal like alot of dummies who shell out $1000's for no reason. I know what works and what doesnt after modding european cars for the better half of a decade. this is a W140 forum, not a C-class forum. maybe you should stay on the C-class forum. Don't start a fire if you can't deal with the flames. If you have nothing good to say..... just dont say anything... this is a calm peaceful forum (w140 section), but too many outsiders come in to try and start crap. If you have nothing good to say then just dont come to this forum. keep it clean.

who the **** cares what he does to his car, it has done a lot more than you'll ever do to your pos c240, and the c32 is a v6, the s320 was Inline, not really the same at all, forget about the c32 having a kompressor, if you want to flame something go to an m3 forum, I like reading this thread and am sick of ****ing hearing about this same stupid topic

thanks guys for the support, car is going into the shop today to fix alot of the issues its been having so i can get a dyno finally. resonators and high flow cats should be in the car before thanksgiving weekend.

I also like this thread and wish Omey all the best for his work.
By the way I appreciate him more than anybody else who buys an MB and gives it straight to the well known tuners( eg : Renntech , Brabus , Kleeman...) and then shouts out loud how fantastic his car is.
Of course those cars are wonderful , but somebody on these forums wrote in his sig., that "speed is only the question of money".
He is doing it by himself , learning from the mistakes and trying out new things.

I'm very interested how many HP your car is going to have at the end.How many HP now?
Omey! Have you heard about the 3.2 L AMG in the 190E ?
I think that is the only straight6 3.2 L AMG engine and it had about 232-238HP , but that was only a 12 Valve engine.
It was not bad in 1990.

askan's C280 is not in a good mood b/c he crashed his car which is understandable, that probably explains the outburst, no worries, i don't take it personaly. I really want to get this car up to its full potential again with new fuel system components and finishing off the exhaust system... then its done, hope stretch guys I will have pics of the new resonators soon hopefully, along with the new midsection and cat install.

the one thing that he does the best about this thread is,its all done with CLASS,No rice parts or lowering springs for it to drag the ground,nice system in the trunk but not goddy,everything is done with class,my Riv is done with 5% limo and the trunk is nomore then a music theater,but my S is kept classy like there meant to be,and Omeys customized work shows that you can still mod a S or any MB and keep it classy,he has done great work on it,made some mistakes on the way but thats a good thing,he learns as he goes and thats better then being a ****y know it all,that realy doesnt know it all-great work pal!!! ::we applaud you::-BK24
