Project S32 ///amg !!!!!

its not really a S32, its S320 i just took off zero to make it "///AMG" as a joke . i like it to be unique. with freer flowing exhaust it will sound much more like a V8. i really want to do the exhaust so i will keep yall updated. peace

i'm not gonna get clear corners b/c it looks too ricy, i may get a new grille but not sure. I will get springs to drop the car and give it that aggressive look. I will also probably fully rework exhaust system and replace cats and everything b/c stock system is garbage and super heavy. headers are the most restrictive part of all W140 exhaust peices. the beauty of 6 cyl W140 is there is TONS of room to do header work. i will run magnaflow high flow cats, with free flowing resonators and eventually run a specific kind of exhaust, what kind i haven't decided yet but it should sound rediculous and give a good 20-30HP for the entire system. that plus springs should finish off the car b/c everything else is perfect in my opinion.

Big Update
Hey guys,
Exhaust: Custom exhaust has already arrived and will be custom fabricated very soon. I used custom stainless steel resonator and universal exhaust off ebay. The total cost of the exhaust peices was only $100 (50 each). They will replace and be welded into place of the old peices and I will still try to make it so that the exhaust can be taken off when needed. The best part of this exhaust is it will be saving alot of weight b/c the stock pieces are rediculously heavy. Headers are also on the agenda. THere is a very qualified exhaust shop in tucson that does amazing work and they will fabricate custom headers for my car. The 300SE has SOO much extra room in the engine bay that very elaborate headers can be created that are both much lighter than stock manifolds but also flow much better b/c of tubular design versus a cast iron log manifold.
Suspension: My B+G springs have been purchased and they are on the way. They are progressive rate so they will lower the car but still keep the soft ride. They were pretty inexpensive and they are german made so they are very high quality. They will drop the car 1.25" front and rear. I will keep yall updated.
Dyno's will be coming soon. I am hoping for 30-40 crank HP between the new intake, custom exhaust and headers b/c the stock ones are so unbelievably restrictive. Chip is also on the agenda if i can ever find one for my car for decent price.

clear corners are not rice, its euro, your car in germany would have them, so its not too rice, I think they add a better look to the overall apperance, so does the grill, I head chip and high flows don't mix, also pullies if you can find them would bring in more hp, so would bored out new cams and forged pistons, rebuild this mother...

i think going that extreme is just a waste of time, especially when I have an M3. I just want the car to be alot peppier and be able to accelrate much more quickly. I race a few other benzes and beat a few lost to others (beat ML320 by 2 cars to 60, lost to W220 S500 2 cars to 60). That was with the car completely stock, now with high performace ram air intake and exhaust on the way the car should really liven up a bit, I will get dyno of the car with those mods and hopefully the gains are good. more than anything else I love the sound of the new intake, it sounds so aggressive a few of my friends swore i had a supercharger under the hood but its that unique mercedes whine that we are all familiar with. but doing internal work on a 6cyl especially one in a W140 is just a waste of money lol, i'd rather just drop in a bigger motor or something. intake, exhaust, headers and maybe chip are all that I would need.

a few addons to consider
i would consider the following on your car .... since i put these on mine and shipped it overseas -
1-supercharge the 6cyl
2-slap on the v12 600 grill
3-flat hood badge
4-intake
5-FULL exhaust ... and i mean headers
6-WALD body kit
7-tints
8-suspension
9-MAE rims
10-remove ALL badges from car -- keep them guessing what blew by them
11-cpu chip
12-if you really want emblems on the trunk it should read 'W140 S32kompressor WALD'
just a few ideas ...... now --- go crazy

with an na build you could easily get 350 out of the car, then add forced induct and a nice 450 to round off your car, nice little hp bump for the entire thing, sort of extreme but its a benz, so it needs to be able to blows past other cars new cams and a bore isn't too extreme is it? I mean just some forged pistons rods and such and that's really a lot of hp, the pully at the very least adds a good 10, and that's a lot

1-not worth the money honestly, you can do enough Nat. asp. mods to get decent power
2-I will probably do S600 grille for sure
3-already did flat hood badge
4-already did intake
5-I just stated i will be doing headers
6-WALD body kit = too ricy
7-tints = done, 35% front, 20% rear
8-suspension = B+G springs already on the way
9-Already have AMG rims
10-I'm putting S32 ///AMG badge on there
11- Chip still a possibility but cannot find a good company that still makes chips for it
12-uh... no lol

Do not forget to buy some good struts/shocks for the car to go along with your lowering springs. The stock shocks cannot handle that kind of compression and will wear out very fast.

hehe, its gonna require more HP and quite a bit of weight removal, thats partly why i want to do the exhaust system so badly b/c the exhaust system on our cars is probably a good 200lbs. I free flowing lightweight resonator and exhaust should save about 50lbs together (maybe more), the headres should save another 10-15lbs. taking out the spare tire and etc from the trunk willl save even more weight. so hopefully i can save a good 100lbs which would really help out my car a bit. I will definately need chip, intake, exhaust and headers to get to S420 range but S500 dunno so much. The two things in my advantage are the short wheel base which saves roughly 44 KG and also the extreme gearing i have on the car (3.69 being the highest mercedes ever used in any of their cars) so first gear really goes by pretty quick. i'll keep yall updated.

hey guys... big update...
Well it seems my headgasket has blown and that was the reason i was losing oil at a pretty quick rate. after talking to my shop foreman he said it was going to be close to a $1000 to replace b/c of all the labor/parts involved in completely removing the head and etc. At first i was kinda pissed but then i realized this would be a prime opportunity to some internal machine work . I talked to the shop foreman about port and polishing the head as well as Extrude honing the intake manifold for added airflow. he will get back to me soon but with those modifications i should be able to get into the V8 power range (S420 type numbers). i definately need to find a good software company, any of you guys have any ideas?

Hey guys, The exhaust has been installed but the shop said it a bit too loud so I will be buying dual resonators and putting them inline so there are two and b/c they are slightly longer they should help dampen the noise more. I have not seen them yet but I will let yall know as soon as I see them on friday.
#147
will do, Still waiting to get springs for the car but i've tried 3 times and all three times the manufacturer had stopped producing them so im running out of options. I think Intrax is the only one left that may have a set left. I will try to get them soon cuz this wheel gap is just hideous.

Exhaust update
hey guys.
I came home today and finally get a look at the exhaust. the exhaust itself looks great but i need to fix the positioning. As far as the sound goes there is way too much resonance, the small resonator i used just was not enough. the muffler itself sounds awesome but there is just way too much resonance so i will clean up the exhaust sound by installing two inline 2.5" resonators and i will repaint the whole system and have the opening in the bumper cut out and etc. one inline resonator is just not enough so if any of yall plan to do it use at least two or maybe even 3 depending on the sound you are trying to go for. but other then that it sounds awesome, only at certain rpms the resonance is too much. i'll keep yall updated.

Why would it be more expensive to buy an old S 55 ?

I have no idea what you are trying to say lol ... reword in better english.
I think the shop merely messed up and needs to redo it with one more resonator, I wanted to put a nice sporty exhaust on the 320 in order to make it a peppier daily driver and i don't wanna spend money on a new car. BTW there is no old S55, at least not on this side of the atlantic. intake and exhaust will do the trick.
