Project S32 ///amg !!!!!
. i like it to be unique. with freer flowing exhaust it will sound much more like a V8. i really want to do the exhaust so i will keep yall updated. peace
Exhaust: Custom exhaust has already arrived and will be custom fabricated very soon. I used custom stainless steel resonator and universal exhaust off ebay. The total cost of the exhaust peices was only $100 (50 each). They will replace and be welded into place of the old peices and I will still try to make it so that the exhaust can be taken off when needed. The best part of this exhaust is it will be saving alot of weight b/c the stock pieces are rediculously heavy. Headers are also on the agenda. THere is a very qualified exhaust shop in tucson that does amazing work and they will fabricate custom headers for my car. The 300SE has SOO much extra room in the engine bay that very elaborate headers can be created that are both much lighter than stock manifolds but also flow much better b/c of tubular design versus a cast iron log manifold.
Suspension: My B+G springs have been purchased and they are on the way. They are progressive rate so they will lower the car but still keep the soft ride. They were pretty inexpensive and they are german made so they are very high quality. They will drop the car 1.25" front and rear. I will keep yall updated.
Dyno's will be coming soon. I am hoping for 30-40 crank HP between the new intake, custom exhaust and headers b/c the stock ones are so unbelievably restrictive. Chip is also on the agenda if i can ever find one for my car for decent price.

6-WALD body kit
7-tints
8-suspension
9-MAE rims
10-remove ALL badges from car -- keep them guessing what blew by them

just a few ideas ...... now --- go crazy

1-not worth the money honestly, you can do enough Nat. asp. mods to get decent power
2-I will probably do S600 grille for sure
3-already did flat hood badge
4-already did intake
5-I just stated i will be doing headers
6-WALD body kit = too ricy
7-tints = done, 35% front, 20% rear
8-suspension = B+G springs already on the way
9-Already have AMG rims
10-I'm putting S32 ///AMG badge on there
11- Chip still a possibility but cannot find a good company that still makes chips for it
12-uh... no
lol
Well it seems my headgasket has blown and that was the reason i was losing oil at a pretty quick rate. after talking to my shop foreman he said it was going to be close to a $1000 to replace b/c of all the labor/parts involved in completely removing the head and etc. At first i was kinda pissed but then i realized this would be a prime opportunity to some internal machine work
. I talked to the shop foreman about port and polishing the head as well as Extrude honing the intake manifold for added airflow. he will get back to me soon but with those modifications i should be able to get into the V8 power range (S420 type numbers). i definately need to find a good software company, any of you guys have any ideas?
I came home today and finally get a look at the exhaust. the exhaust itself looks great but i need to fix the positioning. As far as the sound goes there is way too much resonance, the small resonator i used just was not enough. the muffler itself sounds awesome but there is just way too much resonance so i will clean up the exhaust sound by installing two inline 2.5" resonators and i will repaint the whole system and have the opening in the bumper cut out and etc. one inline resonator is just not enough so if any of yall plan to do it use at least two or maybe even 3 depending on the sound you are trying to go for. but other then that it sounds awesome, only at certain rpms the resonance is too much. i'll keep yall updated.

Why would it be more expensive to buy an old S 55 ?
I think the shop merely messed up and needs to redo it with one more resonator, I wanted to put a nice sporty exhaust on the 320 in order to make it a peppier daily driver and i don't wanna spend money on a new car. BTW there is no old S55, at least not on this side of the atlantic. intake and exhaust will do the trick.
