Somebody told me if I hit the tire switch, it will turn off ASR until 25MPH/40km/h. I did that and when I florred it on wet pavement, the ASR light came on. It revved higher than before, but does it mean that it was completly switched off?
Is it normal for ASR to cut engine power off, because I felt that when it was activated?

It will cut the throttle if you're going fast enough with the switch on, and whenever its activating it will light up in the dash. Eventually I'll disable mine altogether, something to look in to!

9 times out of 10, its a "noisy" connector or fatigued wire on the front axle. the $10K advice is to prepare you for the bath he plans on giving you because you are an attorney with deep pockets. Find a competent independent.
On my 98 S500, my ASR would go off after sitting overnight when its cold. I found the problem by wiggling the cable one corner at at time before start up. It was the right front connector.
