1992 300SE EGR Valve Question
The EGR valve in my 1992 300SE is bad. The OEM part number is 001 140 95 60 but is no longer being manufactured anywhere. The same part also fits the 88-93 300TE (and a number of other MB with the 104.99x engine). Online I found a EGR valve which looks identical (part # 000 140 41 60) that will fit the 1992 300TE but according to MB will not fit the 1992 300SE. How can part number 001 140 95 60 fit both the 300SE and 300TE but part number 000 140 41 60 only fits the 300TE and not the 300SE ? Thanks for any help with this before I make the leap and purchase 000 140 41 60 despite the possibility it won't fit.

Thank you. Very helpful resource but only points me back to the OEM part that is no longer available or being manufactured. I'll order the part that MB says won't fit and hope for the best. Will provide feedback afterwards. thanks again.

Out Of Control!!
i assumed you knew how to use EPC as it is obvious from your response that you do not there are all sorts of functions within EPC to answer your questions and provide the correct part for the VIN

It is just a valve. If one of them works in both mods I assume that fittings are the same size so I would buy the one available and install it.

I ordered part # 000 140 41 60 and only had to move the old fitting from the old valve to the new valve for it to fit my 300SE perfectly! Thanks for everyone's help.
