no difference than installing OEM HID kit. same exact kit pretty much, minus the extra price tag.

Omey,

You would be amazed by how new your lenses look after a good cleaning! I mean the inside of the lenses. When I swapped my factory units with factory Xenons, I took the old lenses off the units and cleaned the inside, these units now look brand new. A cheap fix IMHO.

really? so the insides of the lenses get dirty? i have tried everything to clean the outsides of the lenses but have had no luck ( even used plastic polish). hmm interesting... any before or after pics? How do you take the lenses off, can it be done without taking out the entire headlight housing? thanks

Yeah, there are six or seven blue steel clips holding the glass to the housing. The headlight must be completely removed, but it is fairly easy, except for the one screw on each unit that is next to the radiator, this one takes a little time. After you get the unit out, a medium flat blade screwdriver will have the lens off in 5 minutes. I will post a pic when I get back home later this week, travelling now. These lenses are the real deal too, not plastic.

Ashkan, I am not sure I understand your question. All of the 140s have a glass lens clipped to a plastic housing. The factory Xenons I have on my car are from a 1999 S500. I do not believe factory Xenons were available until 1997 for the 140s.

I do understand what I am saying my question was to ask if they had ever made oem xenon for the w140, e.g w202 had xenon in 2000 and 1999 I believe and they can fit on older models, thus, I was asking if models like 99 had xenon and I would suggest just getting those instead, granted it would be more costly, but oem all the way....

Dude,

Please reread my post, it clearly states that "I" do not understand, not "YOU".

As for the OEM Xenons, yes, they are available and I have them in my car. They are quite awsome.

good to know. the reason i ask is b/c ive been meaning to modify my stock headlights b/c the foglights have that yellow lens that has to be removed, i hate the yellow foglight look so i wanted to get rid of the yellow cap lens so i can just run regular bulbs. so this would be a perfect opportunity b/c then i could clean the lens as well inside and out and then polish them so they don't get as dirty again. what u think?

As far as the xenons go. I will run Eurolite xenon bulbs for the time being (temporarily) and I will eventually run 6000K Xtex kit b/c i really like the 6000K its not as bright as the 4100 but its very blue, i may do 4100k but still not sure yet. anyways i will keep yall updated on my mods, the S32 AMG is turning into a real power house .

So where can I get the 4100k HID kit? Also, i found these lenses on ebay.....i think it would be a good replacement for the stock headlight lenses which are cracked or look faded....

What do you guys think would be a good bulb, to replace a crappy yellow look of a fog light and maybe match up the HID's?

well know that no fake xenon bulb will even come close. I always have used Eurolite and liked their bulbs alot, I will do fake xenon Eurolites in both the headlight and fogs. They should match well. with real HID's though.... sorry not possible (gotta be bluntly honest, it just can't match).

Yeah, I put Hoen xenon match fog light bulbs on my M3, which on their website look like they match up with the OEM hid's pretty well, but in reality they dont even come close....I will probably end up going with PIAA platinums, once the HID's are installed....
I read from your previous post that u know a spot where I can get the 4100k for 300, do u mind sharing it with me......Thanx bro
