what is this fluild for? help

what is the reservior with blue liquid in it behind the headlight (right side if you're facing the front of the car) - you have to open a black panel on top before you can see it. It says hydraulic fluid on it. also, there is a black box with no label on it to the left of the right headlight (again if you're facing the front of the car) - what is it for? it is very difficult to open. thanks.

too many to list
rambo just out of curiousity why are you messing with your car i mean if iam trying to open a black box in the engine compartment with no labels on it and it doesnt open as hard as i try i would just leave it alone plus it told you its hydraulic fluid so dont even think of messing with it your vehicle could seaze without it.

I thought I open it to see if it had enough fluid. Wasn't planning to mess with it. Also, I wanted to know what they were for. I wasn't planning to do anything with them - I am not that brave.

It is the hydraulic reservior for the suspension. The small round rubber piece is the dipstick. You need to check it for time to time. There is also a filter in there.

Cheers,
Steve

you mean the reservior with the blue liquid is for the suspension? I can see it from the outside. I don't think I need a dipstick. However, the black reservior is not see thru - is that the one for the suspension? if it is low should I fill it up? how? thanks.

The small black one is the power steering. It uses a different fluid than the self-leveling system. There is a dipstick in the reservior cap along with a filter attached to it in the self-leveling tank. It has a range marked on it. If it is low, add enough to bring it up to 3/4 on the stick. Do not overfill!

Cheers,
Steve
