Heater and AC went Out??? Help!

Hey guys I have a "cold" problem..heh.
My Heater was working fine all day long.and tonight when my wife and I left from the Lot,My Heater wouldnt come out formt he vents you can a sound that mimics and shudder sound from opening and closing, and with you press the "O" and then press "AUTO" you can hear the AC Compressor Click on and off, checked fuse # 18,20,21 and there all fine.COuld there be a main relay fuse that went out?? blower fans quit, nothing comming out of the AV/Heating system..ONLY when defrost is on the 2 side vents drivers vent closest to door and pass closest to door very min amount of warm air,im thinking that the engines heat coming thru??? what do you guys think??? im gettgin it checked out ASAP but till then I will drive my Rivy.

Its a blower regulator, a common problem. It sits on the actual blower motor thas located under the cowl (the black panel right next to the windshield) and under the air filter.

Hey does this fix apply to the w220.....

My 01' S500 just did the same thing no AC/HEAT happened last night, and if I take it to the dealer it's going to take at least a week their totally swamped!
I did a search on that Ebay link -Blower motor regulator and all they came up with was 99' and older models.

Thanks man...

I hope it works for you, and hopefully mine as well I'm sure the dealer would really up the $$ considering my dealer charges $120per hour labor not including their price mark-up on the parts....Good Luck

Excellent....well I will have to check if my part is in

The same location as yours when it quits raining, been dumping here for the last couple of weeks on and off.
Can you post a pic' of your part or, what was the part# ? I'm very skeptical it couldn't be the exact same part maybe just a little different but same location for install....Thanks again I'm glad it worked out for you it must feel pretty good doing that yourself and saving $, + the hassle of going to the dealer...

My s420 may have similar problems. It does blow some but very little. Do you think the regulator could be the problem?
I hate to take it in and after many hours of searching (at my expense) they find this and charge double...

Appreciate your help/ideas.

Got down to the mid 60's last night... might need that heater.
I got in touch with FCP (previous post) and ordered the part. If I get it locally it is $385 vice the $195... good deal.
Thanks all for the tips!

Got the part, almost half the price thru FCP, and took no time to install. Now works good and nice and cool!

Wait i still don't seem to understand really...
There are two kinds of regulators on ebay,
one is "Blower Regulator" and the other one is "blower motor regulator"...
Which one is the one I need, they look different!
