How about these Factory AMG Aluminum sport pedals for $ 59.99? They're the same ones that are on the 2006 S55 and CLS55 and they not only look sporty but they grip like claws! Here is the link where you can get them:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Facto...spagenameZWDVW

Also, for $ 14 more you can get the small matching emergency brake pedals. The ones from Brabus and Lorinser cost between $ 300 to $ 400 so for under $ 80 you can get all 3 pedals shipped to you and they are OEM pedals. Here is a link to a picture of it after I installed it in my car:

Happy Updating my Friend!

Sidemarkers are running lights.. I actually run a silver coated bulb that is burned out.. I like the euro non-sidemarker look and my car is silver so I like the look a lot specially in the day hours. It is my preference and that is what makes this so cool, we all like different things.

ps. you can run the clear side-markers and run silver coated 194 amber bulb which actually matches the sidemarker color

Once you open scroll down close to the bottom of the page

What about changing my head light bulbs with Halogen bulbs to make it look like the lights on a newer year?

Has anyone done this?

Anyone try these?

Do you have actual hid's now ? If so do not buy these.. They are halogen's projectors. If you "do" have these then buy these.

Open the hood and pull back the plastic cover on your low beam and you should see something like this ? See that square metal connector ? that plugs into your hid bulb.

after debating for 6 months as to whether or not to do this mod, i finally pulled the trigger and ordered the side mirror leds.
i was hesistant because of the malfunction messages other members have encountered ,along with possible bad leds that i would need to exchange, etc. it sounded like a headache i didn't need or want.

but after installing them,i'm glad i did it because they look great;they really brighten up the look of the car. they also work perfectly, although one side did give me a little trouble at first.(the other worked fine the minute i plugged it in). the signal in the instrument cluster would blink too fast but the led would blink at a normal rate.

i just kept plugging and unplugging the connector until the blinker functioned normally. i can't explain how this solved the problem but it did.

anyway, they are working as they should. we'll see how long that lasts(a long time, hopefully). i just hope the innards of these signal lights hold up,especially the connector, as the quality
leaves a lot to be desired.

a big thanks to benznodubz for picts and instructions!

I dont have HID's I have the crappy ones that came with the car in 2002.
What is different from these Halogen Projector ones and the ones I have on now? Is it just the looks like when the lights are off and you can see the little eyeball? Will the shine of the light brightness be the same?

Thanks

1. Push mirror forward as seen in pict.
2. Stick thin long flathead screw driver underneath mirror(torwards front) and pry clip up so Mirror Cover housing slides off.(be careful)
3.Take mirror inside house or work area and clean up before installing new strip
4. The led strip has 2 screws that need to come out than pull out old LED strip from mirror cover...New strip will pop in
5.Once new strip is screwed in cover take back to car to plug in and mount
6.The Led strip will plug in the 2 center inputs of the 4 prong female connector located on the back of housing on car.

Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks

Reviving old thread. I hope someone can help me. I bought a set of LED mirror sigs off ebay. Install was straight forward thanks to this site. Tested everything first and everything worked fine. A day later, I get a checklight for the passenger reflector and turn sig blinks fast. Re-installed again, now the checklight comes and goes. Contacted the ebay seller and said he was not responsible and recommended only professional installations.

Crappy product is a crappy product no matter who installs it. Nonetheless, I like the look and other than the fast blinker and resetting the error light it looks 10x better.

I know the LEDs draw a different current and all, but anyone ever fix this problem. Thanks!

Make sure you have the little two prong connector on your led in the very center two holes of the housing .. I belive there is 4 connecting holes on the housing make sure it is in the center two

Hi how you doin, I am a recent member. I have a 2000 S 500 and I just bought crystal side view upgrade from ebay. I was following your instructions on how to upgrade it, but I had no luck. when you stick the screw driver underneath the clip and pry up the clip seems to have come out but the mirror does not seem to come out. I tried everything. May be I am doing something wrong. Can you please help me out.. I would really appreciate it. thanks.

The mirror part does not come out.... The housing slides off it.

yah , tell me about it.

for something as important as lights, i'm hesitant to use aftermarket stuff.
the quality of those signals is horrendous. you get what you pay for.

but i bought them anyway. couldn't resist. at least they look good.

i prefer oem and am willing to pay for it. 2003+ tails cost me $580 at the dealer! i know, $150 on ebay.

unfortunately with the signals, one has to purchase the whole housing, mirror, etc to upgrade. not worth the cost.
