New S430 in the garage!

New S430 in the garage!
Well I am new to this board but not Mercedes Benz. After about 28 years of all shapes and sizes I have bought my first S Class sedan. I was very close to an R Class after following development since 2002 concept introduction. Then I had a medical problem and cancelled my order. Yesterday I got a call from my local dealer and he said he had a very nice S430. Well this morning I decided to go look at it and planned on maybe doing something with one of the many R350/500's he had. Once I sat in the S it was a done deal...
I like the new 2007 S but I like the looks and style of the 2006 better. Also the deal I got would not be available on the new 2007 model for some time. So I will be joining in with comments and pictures. Here is one shot and I have posted some others on my web site. Better pictures will be forthcoming. It was late in the day when I shot these.

Not too concerned about the power. On the drive home it seemed quick off the line and did not feel sluggish at all. Coming from the E320, it seems to be an improvement.

nevada_jack - you are the man! haha, never expected to see you HERE of all places 
anyway, that's a very nice S - i never knew S looked so good in white, seeing the government of Singapore has a fleet of S's which look kinda crappy to me; and the Mercedes taxis there are white as well. perhaps they got a cut-rate paint job or something :p
i'm sure you won't feel the 430 underpowered, unless you're used to a 500 vehicle. my S350 feels nice and urgent, no problems going all the way to the speed limiter or overtaking others.

Hope to have some really good shots in a week or so. Only have 15 miles on the car and need to learn how to drive it...:-)

Too bad the Yanks lost...I was a Dodger fan (the Brooklyn type) in the late '40 and early '50's and hated the Yanks. But I hate the Angels more....so I was a Yank fan for the first time in my life! Jeeter and ARod are the pro's pro and you gotta love their play...
