No DVD-Navi for the facelifted S-class??

No DVD-Navi for the facelifted S-class??
In my brochure it still says CD-Navigation. I thought the new Comand was suppossed to have DVD instead of CD-rom. What happend?

2003 CL55 AMG
DVD will make it into the S class, however, it will be delayed until the late 2003 models are produced.

Whats taking them so much just for a DVD upgrade?? Or is it gonna be something more then just a DVD COMAND when it's out?? Im truly wondering... so much wait.. they better have something nice up their sleeves!!

I have no idea what is taking so long for the DVD system by MB. I am not aware of any special features that will make the unit "special". I was told the same thing at my dealer. DVD has been delayed until late 2003 (Probably when 2004 models arrive). However, I was told the new Command unit that will come in the 2003 S-Class can be retro-fitted for the new DVD. Older Command units (2002 and prior) cannot be retro-fitted. But, it remains to be seen.

YOU ALREADY GOT THE BROCHURE FOR YOUR MERCEDES???

WHERE DO YOU LIVE?

Anyways, it is a new Comand system and certainly the size and functions won't change much.

The dvd is just faster...and has more maps on it....so its really not such a big deal.

But I'm sure we will see something neat in the 2005/6 new body S Class that will surpass all current technology.

I got my brochure in Germany. It has some very nice photos. I really like the new Designo-Cotoure interior-package. Makes the car look much more expensive and luxurious inside.

Anyone seen the new color 723 (PEWTER) on the S Class?

I am killing myself deciding between the Obsidian Black, Brillant Silver and this new PEWTER (which I sort of seen on the SL on Mercedes' web site car configurator...but you know the colors are not very accurate.
