Does any one know what the key squence is to bring up the hidden menu on the COMMAND APS?

I heard that on some cars (CLS, W210, etc...) you can hold down 3, 5, 7 for a few seconds and it will bring up the hidden menu.

I tried it in my 2003 W220 with no luck.

 

Codes can be found here - but they will only work on later W220's with the widescreen COMAND and this has to be a EURO spec unit.

Thanks for the link, but I have a different COMMAND unit. I don't have the softkey buttons on the side of the display. I think it's called COMMAND APS. They only had it in 2003 Models...

 

Doesn't work on my '04 S500 either...I have however been able to play audio DVD recordings!

not anything major except after the 02 models the 03s u can do major changes

 

So what is the code for the MY2003 COMAND in the W220?

You cannot play dvd's on a 2006 USA S class. Only audio. No matter which code you get. It's missing some of the video decoding hardware. If you want video, swap for a Euro Comand unit.

 

i dont think thats true man from wat iv heard all u need to is to buy an video interface and a tv tuner and have the dealership activate the button on the command.

Folks, this topic is very tiresome.

Because people see documents with pictures from Comands (w211, R171) that look similar to the S/CL-Class Comand APS DVD they believe that their Comands work the same.

Thats not the case !
Only the front bezel look similar the rest is different in many ways.

Fact is, there is no softkey (DVD or TV) unlock, even if there are people that want to believe so much in it.


With a special DAS System you could enable TV while you drive, but thats all.
(This applies to the R230 Comand APS as well)

Even if this is not what you wanted to hear, please spread this information so we may get rid of the farytale one day.
(maybe someone can add it into a FAQ?)

I have a Japanese imported 2004, S 500, W 220.
I want to enter the engineering mode to activate MP3 and change DVD region.
If any one can help by telling me which buttons to press and which sequence, i will really be obliged.

 

I recently purchased a beautiful 2004 S500, which I am enjoying very much. My SAT Radio (SiriusXM) will not tune to channel 42. I called Sirius and was told the previous owner may have placed a parental block on channel 42.
Anyone knows how to remove parental block? I used Mute+1+3 to get into engineering mode, however, I do not know the code to access the secret menu. Please send me instructions to access secret menu on 2004 S500 US version.

 

I have an 06 s500. I found the code on youtube but didn't see anything to unlock the DVD.
