hey guys,
i have the auto trunk open / close feature, just got my car back from the dealer few days ago and just noticed today that my trunk when opening - now only opens half way. i read a post about the e-class that had the same issue and they suggested to take the limiter off via the dash comp, however,on my s-class, i dont see such feature, any ideas? TIA

My S600 has had a few issues as well but I never took it into the dealership because the issue was intermittent and has not occurred for 15 months.

I see this **** all the time, trunk lid just needs to be normalized, take it into the dealer they have to do it with the star, shouldnt take more than a half hour

My 03 s500 did the same thing, I read the manual. Press and hold the trunk open button that's inside of the car for 5 or more seconds . That changes the settings of the trunk. I did that and it fixed my problem hope that helps.

In my case this don`t solve the problem. You have done with the car started?

It would be nice if all of the guessing and take it to the dealership stuff could be replaced with actual information.

BBALLER’s answer did solve the OP’s problem and his information came from the car’s manual. What else do you want? It doesn’t get any more “actual information” than that.

The problem is that sometimes holding the button longer will not fix it and the car does need to be hooked up to the star computer
