Just picked up a 03 S500 Certified Pre-owned for my sister in law today. I was wondering other than Performance. What is the difference between S500 and S430 in terms of features etc. I knew S500 came with heated seat as standard.... anything else? Is the leather seat are different than S430? Any URL i can learn more about.

The differences between the '03 S 500 and S 430, other than the engine were:

Heated seats, standard
Nappa leather, standard
Burl Walnut wood trim, standard
S 500 had gas guzzler tax of $1,000, S 430 did not.

very nice of u to buy an S-class for a sister in law. I would have went with the 04 because of the 7 speed trans, but nice car nonetheless.

Yes, I am pretty sure the heated seats were standard on the 430,my cousin had one in Canada, got in the car soaking wet one winter's day and got poached to death.rip.
