Has any one else had this problem.
It's been hot in Tx this week and I noticed that the car is getting hot.
When the door is opened heat rushes out,why is this?
According to my figures, the car should be around 37% cooler than the outside temp. due to its being in a non-contaminated solar sealed vacusealeraroid.
I may contact Mitsubushi Evosports to see if they would produce my design for an S class "Cooler Bag". I sent the prototype to Thermos and QVC
over 3 months ago but I am still waiting to hear back, grrr.
If get enough members on here to do a group buy we should be able to have a price in the $4000.00 region.
I have already Trade Marked the name, it will be known as (MyShadies- Benz).
Please Note: My alter egos:AnalML,HGL600-(I plan to steal one one day),Rick Aggawallawallafateteen, are all happy with theirs.

There is a product, clips on the door side window, solar powered fan, that is sposed to extract hot air, only about $20.00 I think.See it on telly in the wee hours.

I seem to recall a friend years ago , he had a Mazda, I think it was the 929(over 10 years ago), but it had small extractors built into the cars vent system that was run by solar panels in the cars sun roof,it really kicked the temp down on a hot day.I think it was a factory option too.

Do you have pics of the cooler design tnuC? is the price a typo??

Long story. Several bannings in one day in this forum alone (same person, new account), we get suspicious when a nubie (new member) pops up in the middle of a conversation like this.

Ignore tnuC, if you can see, he's been banned.

Yeah, I've seen those commercials. But I have a hard time believing a fan that small could cool a car that big. Just my $.02.

But I've heard that there are some MBs that are equipped with a solar powered sunroof, and that energy is used to power the fans in the car or something like that.

yeah, I agree about the one on tv, then again who knows, I may pick one up, at least you dont have to leave the windows cracked and worry about rain or theft.
The ones on my friends Mazda worked in conjunction with the fresh air vents, I do not recall the exact figures but it really did drop the interior temp a lot while the car was sitting in the sun.
It would be something I would buy for sure.

Please let us know how it works. I have a "REST" button in my car that keeps recirculating the cool or warm air when I leave the vehicle. It works OKAY for a while, but does not actually cool or warm per se.

May I ask your location... Just curious.

All MBs have REST. Neat little feature, keeps me warm in the winter when I don't feel like going into the store or whatever.
