Japanese Version
I have S320 Year 2001. Its Owner's Manual and the comand display is in Japanese Language. Is there a way to change Comand Display to English? And from where can I get English Language Owner's Manual? MB Dealer in my country couldn't help me.

I can send you the US 2001 S-class manual as a .pdf, but it only covers V8 and V12 models. The 2001 S320 was not available in the US. COMAND is covered in a separate book, which I don't have.

to change the language you have to use the steering wheel controls.
use the lower left thumb button (two overlapping boxes).
cycle through the options untill you get to the message that says "car must be stopped to change controls" this is going to be hard to figure out as your message will be in japanese.
then you use the upper left thumb button to get to languages.
then you have to cycle through to get to english.
its pretty easy, unfortunately, its going to be a million times harder as the messages are in japanese unless you have someone to translate for you.

Iam not sure if that is even possible. The Comand as well as all attached multimedia stuff is totally different to the rest of the world.
(except the AMP).So are you located in Japan ?

afaik the Japanese command is totally different than the Euro ones, need a complete swap to get things like sat-nav and increased radio frequency range.
Japanese drivers don't seem to use the stock sat-nav much, many W220's in Japan are fitted with aftermarket stereo and sat-nav, even with the stock ones still working!
