TV & Video 2 Go
Has anybody install the TV&Video2Go kit in their car? It seems easy, but I was just wondering if anybody else has done it? Has anybody installed the rear view camera?

in my area , there is a European guy goes around a "unlock" the Command Systems, What's "unlock" mean? it means he brakes the code of the DVD so I can watch the movie while driving, i didn't beleive at first but after he did it.... i do beleive it. i paid him 200 but it's worth the money. I don't know if anybody know about that. Just sharing an experience. Oh, bythe way, my car is an 04' S430 with DVD-base Nav and i live in SAn JOse, CA.

Did Euro Dude unlock your Euro Nav or USA nav system?
If he did your USA nav what did he do and what did he use to do it? I have been wanting to unlock my USA NAV to play DVD and maintain the sat radio option. Cant find anyone to do it.

I also would be interested in finding out about your dude! I was under the assumption that a non US command head unit needed to be installed. Does you dude friend have any friends in the midwest?

The US command does not support TV tuner. The Euro does. For a US command to do this you have to go to Navtv.com, buy the TV pass through module that will allow you to have a video and audio input for any source of your choice (DVD, TV Tuner) and a video overide for the rear view camera. The rearview camera is installed using a relay and tapping from the reverse light. This is the easiest and cheapest ($400) way you can get this accomplished. The other alternative is to get a Euro command and we all know how much that cost.

On the W215 & W220 US Version we have a command dvd. The DVD player is built into the head unit. It will however only play the sound on DVDs'...the "screen is faded for safety". I was only hoping to remove the block to the screen if possible for DVD watching and not just listening.
If all else fails will look at the navtv option.
Still holding out hope.
