Yes you can. But It seems like a 7.5 is kinda skinny for the S. 8.5 or 9.0 would make the statement. otherwise why even get such a big wheel IMO.
I just went to the Car show in Atlanta earlier this month, and there was a booth by Butler tire with a few if their customers' mercedes cars there some had 22's and looked very nice. I actually looked at a set of 22' wheels for my S430. The Rep told me they work without any problems. even since my car is lowered. with no issues
The trick it to make sure you have the correct tire and and don;t get too crazy with the offset.A 245 30 22 is the right tire.
good luck and post pics!!!

........not to mention the total loss of a comfortable ride on 245/30!!!/22 Even airmatic can't make up for that loss. The tire wall then is ~2 3/4 inches only!!!

Besides all of the other comments you had better buy a couple of spare wheels. If you run through a nice pot hole the 22's are not going to hold up. I have a couple of friends who bought 22's for the S and now they are saying it was a total waste of money with all of the suspension and bent wheel problems encountered. However, to each his own.

I agree with all the cautionary replies.
Why ruin a great car with wheels that are too big?
(unless, I suppose, that you never actually want to drive it)
