Damn, just hit 95K miles considering this car is a 2000 with a build date of 7/99 so technicly 8 year old W220. Just wondering how many does everyone have.

Could you folks at/close to the 100k mark put down what major issues you had?

Everything but tranny and engine has been fixed on this car. Oh wait, my tranny has had leaks fixed twice. Oh well, wonderful world of MB.

Airmatic has been repaired (new pump). Ball joints are squeeking again, so they may need replacing again. Apart from that, the car has be sound.

Hello forummembers,
this comes as a surprise to me.
I always thought people in the USA drove long distances (that is why they have the nice big cars) but maybe this forum is not representative for US drivers.

My Benz is 2001 and has done 280000km (approx 175.000 miles)
Its ngine still sounds like new and puts a lot of pimped Honda civics (which are popular with dutch youngsters) in second place at traffic light sprints.

(I know I am to old for that, but blame the mid-life crisis )

A lot of us here have other cars as daily drivers. In my case, our S430 was RARELY driven from 1999-2005. Starting from 2006, I now drive it daily to work. In 2003, we had 20k miles lol

If you "win" with 127K, then I won and lost...

2000 S500 with 01/2000 build date with 140,000
2003 S500 with 23,000 miles

But I KNOW that somebody is gonna top both of us.

Thanks for responding kenstudios.

Everything???

At 30k, besides the blower motor recall, gauge cluster recall, static lining in the trunk recall,

I had:
1. right cat replaced
2. airmatic relay replaced
3. driver seat tightened
4. newer antenna? from the homelink since the old range sucks
5. dealer replaced a new amp for the radio-it was still working fine

All in all, pretty solid.

How about the veterans that have reached the 100k milestone?
