IF you have Factory Xenon Headlights:
* For the Originally Xenon equipped car owners, we can custom pre-wired one to fit your car too, however you will not be able to use your factory Xenon HID on these new headlights. Since you do not need your factory Xenon HID anymore; you can sell it at a decent price and get a whole new set of Headlights with Xenon HID pre-installed from us. The one we custom pre-wired for you will also be plug & play and the installation is also straight forward. You will need to contact us and let us know if you fall into this category so we can do the necessary change for you.
like i stated earlier, you will eliminate your factory HID system, and the seller, as posted, states it. essentially from what these guys say, they do all the custom wiring for you so it "should" work....BUT just keep in mind you will now be running on some cheap ballast, ignitor, and probably wiring. all that for just under 600... all i can say is you get what you pay for...i havent heard any stories on people doing this to their oem xenon system...from everything ive read, people with s500 or higher have either got the proper aftermarket headlight ($1500-$1700), or picked up an OEM set new or used from a salvage yard...

if you're going to try those ebay lights, please let us know how it all works out...good luck

i would get the bixenon but thing is i want to retro another projector to replace the factory one. just would like to get more light output and color out of the headlights, no sense in forking over $700-900 in OEM headlights that I want to hack into and potentially loose the autoleveling which would be the main reason I would want to go with OEM.

Thats Why I am going to go with aftermarket. Nothing tops OEM quality I agree with that but that is why I am going to pretty much go with aftermarket housing and then retrofit the best of OEM HID parts which when it comes to headlights our cars are not equipped.

If you keep looking on Ebay you will come across a cheap set, thing is do not look up S500 headlights i used to search for "S55 headlight" and would come across a few sets a month at least, there was a OEM set on there just last week for approx $650 buy it now and I thnk $30 shipping. im sure its sold now but they are pretty common on ebay

so like i said anyone know if I disable Autoleveling if I will get a message on the console?

I definitely need some help or input on this. I have a 2000 S500 with stock Xenon HIDs and I wanted to do the aftermarket upgrade myself. Went out and purchased some really nice black housing HID headlights that are for 2003+ models Sclass and instead of one plug that my 2000 model has the 03+ models have 2 plugs. So how do I intergrate the wiring from old to new? This sucks. Been sitting on these new headlights for literally 2 months now! Please help somebody

The main plug is plug and play.. that is almost all you need.. the other plug near the middle of the car needs one pin grounded.. Take the cover off above it and see which end has the brown wire. It will be one of the end pins and ground that wire.. Do the same for the other side keeping in mind the grounding pin isn't mirrored so you need to check that one too.. after that you are all set.. it's really that easy.

Thanks cmpcpro. I will get up and try that in the morning and let everyone know how that went. And to give everyone a heads up on the new headlight set that I'm running, it the ones from CARDID.com. Great set if you already have a 03+ w220 s class. Buy since I have a 2000 model, it's been damn near impossible for me, thus far. These are NOT cheap headlights at all. And you use the original DR2/DS2 bulbs and stock igniters from your original headlights. Plus the new aftermarket lights come with the LED daytime strip seen on Audi and newer model Mercedes. Awesome set up! I haven't seen it done yet nor have I seen them on any w220, EVER. I'm very excited to take cmpcpros' advice and get this darn wiring right. Wish me luck. And I'll definitely post pix very soon

if you are going aftermarket, these are what you need. quality, plug and play with OEM xenon equipped. a lot of those ebay lights are made for the halogen (430) cars and some include just a HID conversion kit already attached claiming it as xenon hid (will not work with s500+)

Glad you got the good ones.. I got the ones that take the stock DR2/DS2 bulbs and stock ballast/ignitors too.. I wouldn't touch the ones with the cheap ones in them..

Ok. Help me out with this one more time. My 2000 has only 1 plug coming from my ignition harness. There are two open plugs coming out of the aftermarket lights. How do I integrate this? Second, will all of the lights work properly- hi/lo beams, signal, and parking lights? HELP. :-)

They are a little hard to install unless you can find someone who can do it for you. My guy did my upgrade in 20 mins. I was so surprised that i could not believe it. Earlier i had taken my car to atleast 6 workshops here in GA, but no one could figure out the installation. Well if you are on the east coast my guy can help you upgrade to the newer headlights. Just let me know. I a in atlanta, Ga.
good luck!!!!
How can u recognize if its xenon or nonxe-non ? just by looking ?

Go to eBay, then advanced search, then by seller, and search for fishcake321, then search within his 470+ items for the headlights. High-quality units...

No affiliation, other than as a satisfied customer.

OK - I didn't pay enough attention to your question. The lights that I bought were not bi-xenon!

Unfortunately, the installation was not quite that simple for me. I bought and installed the light assemblies, and only at that point did I discover that they were for the auto-level system. My S430 had halogen lights, and did not have the auto-level system.

The low-beam HID lights pointed to the ground, and the car has no system to move them. I hooked the lights momentarily to a friend's car that did have the auto-level system. The HID lights moved to an aimed position, and stayed there. I plan to install a European manual HID adjusting switch so I can adjust the HID lights from the driver's seat.

Hopefully, you should have no such problem - just plug the existing auto-level plugs into the new lights, and you should be in business. At least, you will be if the plugs on the 2000 S430 are the same as on my friend's 2002 S430 - I have no way to know that.

I am making no assurances that this will work. You need to discuss this with the vendor that you choose.

The headlight assemblies that I bought were halogen high beams and fog lights - not the bixenons, and came complete with the auto-level motors and all bulbs, even the parking and turn signal bulbs. Choose the output color of the HID bulbs that you want - I would recommed the warmest that you can get, so there is as little difference in the halogen high beams and the HID low beams.

If you want to keep your bi-xenons, these lights may not be what you want! I have no idea whether it would be possible to swap your lights into the new housings, but it doesn't seem likely. You need to see if these folks have the bi-xenon headlight assemblies on their site.

I have no idea how well it would work for you to
