Cool Can I cut a hole through armrest cavity to trunk?

You know how there is a wall behind the armrest that folds up in the back seat. Some cars out there have the ability to reach through a hole to access the trunk.

Could I cut through that wall to make a hole to the trunk? Are there any wires or equipment in that area that I could damage?

Picture for emphasis:

My intention is to install a fridge I found. Will send pics afterwards.

thanks.

Unfortunatly the fuel tank is behind the rear seat so don't cut any holes there. To fit the small refrigerator that comes as an optional extra you will also have to fit the special fuel tank from Mercedes which has a hole for the refrigerator to fit through.
I have seen a few of these refrigerators doing the rounds on ebay with the same one passing from person to person when they realise they cannot fit them without a major purchase from Mercedes for a new tank and related parts

gas tank?

Are you sure? Is there a schematic out there that validates this? No offense... I just don't plan on dropping my fridge project because of this.

It's not that I don't believe you... I just hope that you are wrong.

It's the same on the W140, think about where the spare wheel is and the size of it and then think about where you would put a 100L fuel tank if you can come up with another place considering how much else is cramed in the back of the car I'll be impressed, the reason the tank is there is to stop it from being punctured in a crash. Take the back seat off and you'll see it there.
