S600 Fuse Chart request

I have a 2004 S600

Hello all,

1. I've read the owners manual. It provides no fuse chart. Though it shows where the fuses should be and where the fuse chart should be. I'm suspect that there are fuses in the passenger side dashboard. Further, the fuse chart was not in the tool kit.

2. I've contacted MB cust. service
a. The cust svc. rep told me I would have to put my request in writing and they would determine if I'm an actual owner (though she already looked me up as a valid owner) and if they can send it to me.

b. The Tech rep. told me there wasn't one and the diagrams are on the covers of each fuse box.

3. I've done a search here. Thought I found a 2001 S class thread I'm not sure it's the same as the s600

So, can anyone please provide me a copy of an s600 fuse chart?

Thanks

I read in the owners manual the fuse chart is in your tool kit on your spare tire. The fuse chart should be folded very small and might be under a tool.

So does this mean you have found your chart? I think for the most part they are all the same for the w220 body. I will scan my chart and post it in a few days when I get back home.

I also have a WIS on dvd that has been very useful for finding schematics.

Whomever needs it will be welcome to it.

I bought it off ebay about a year and a half ago I love it.. It has a lot of stuff about all MB cars up thru 2006 that I needed including schematics, and a lot of how to stuff. Even some part numbers..

I had it on my server till last month when it crashed ( thank you once again windows..) and I didn't reload it with the new drive.

I was also thinking about installing it on my Macbook but it runs like a server within a server and I don't want it conflicting with any of my existing PLC software thats actually making me money right now.

However, I do plan on reinstalling it now that I have my new system up and running so that I can access it remotely.

As far as the fuse chart goes, I know a lot of people have been asking about it so I will scan mine and post it as a PDF or jpeg file for people to download but I can't get to it till this weekend. Generally it should cover most W220's as I'm sure the box locations and fuse assignments are all the same.

Is the WIS some sort of service manual? I'd love to have a copy of that. Are you going to post it on an FTP site ro something like that? Or do you have to make a copy and send it in the mail? I'm very interested if it is a service manual.

email me at bc30@hotmail.com with ur vin number and ill return the email, may take a little time to download and print (not computer literate lol) but u can then laminate it and keep it with your tool kit as it should be.

Anyone else who reads this if you have a fusecard in the boot, laminate it as it does get moisture on it depending on your local climate and falls to pieces.

The fuse chart in my 2006 tool kit is dated May 9, 2003, so it probably applies to your car. (It seems to cover all 220s and 215s.) It's too big for my scanner, but it has a part number:

A 000 545 18 00

Your dealer should be able to get you one.

Here is a soft-copy of the Fuse Chart (MB p/n: 000.545.18.00) for W/V220, C215 models. While not a clean copy, it is complete and in pdf format. Might help someone in the middle of a weekend before MB opens or after this thing goes out of print!
Cheers,
Jeff

This reference is hard to see. I cannot read the information I need. All other links have expire on other sites. If anyone has an original copy could they take a close up picture and post for us that are using this site as the w220 is becoming a classic like the SEC was when this site started. And people will need the links that have failed to work now. Thank you

The part that didn't load for me was the very chart that I was directed to by all the links all the way through benzworld and told to find the chart for 2001 s 430 by looking at post #3 on some thread (benzworld link to my chart),well... The pictures wouldn't load once I got to where it was posted for the 2001 Most of the links and some pictures do usually work and then some are lost. ... Also I have tried to research and spent about two days looking at fuse charts and trying to get an accurate one when I go to compair them to my car OT seems some of the fuses are not right and have the wrong amp for the fuse location even though it is what google brought ...even the link you said you found on google on the other post I made. It must be different for the facelift version because the fuses had different amps. I've done a lot of searching the forums and google and as a last resort am asking to have someone with a pre face life s430 or a 2001 s430 s 500 post their fuse chart with up close pictures because a lot of the stuff I find you cannot zoom in on and the ones that are clear have not been accurate enough to go off from and have been a waste of energy when trying to locate my fuse i need to find.. Prefer to have someone upload a 2001 s430 fuse chart diagram.with clean photos that are readable thank you sorry for the confusion just hasn't been working out with my digging for the right data so far.only the pictures I needed wouldn't load and I meant other older link sometimes do the same thing.

No 2001 S430 is a facelift version - that starts with 2003.

I clicked on the link in your post. It immediately opened to Dean's (Pinkster's) fuse post.

I clicked on the link in your earlier post to open the Fuse Chart Guide pdf, which opened a very clear image of the guide. The guide told me that a North American S430 (model W220.170) up to 6/30/10 should use Fuse Chart A0005451500. I returned to Dean's post and clicked on that link. It opened immediately to a very clear pdf showing each fuse number, what they covered, and a fuse and relay location chart.

I have no idea why you are having problems - but the fuse charts are readily available on line.

My guess is that I have gotten confused as to which diagram i have already checked out and it didn't match up. And now I still have to go through the process over again and keep a better note as to which chart might work out. Most of the ones I found had something that want eligible so maybe somehow I can use the combined charts I find and doc I can pull up .... Ill give it another try thanks for letting me know its do able. Ill have another go then.

The fuse charts have been a source of frustration for many folks, which is why Dean went to a good bit of trouble to find the charts, make the pdf's and do the post.

One of the two charts above should be the one chart that you need. Check your date of birth for your car, or use the VIN to determine which one you need, then print two of that chart - one for home base, and one in the car. If the fuse amperages don't match, don't overlook the possibility that a prior owner has switched a few fuses sometime in the last seventeen years.
