I want Chrome MB License Plate Frames...Dealer Wants 80 Bucks For Them!
i want to get the oem chrome license plate frame that says mercedes benz for front and rear, my local dealer wants 80 bucks for the front and rear set, anyone have a set they want to sell me or no where i can get them for cheap?

Friend, life is too short to worry about $80 or getting ripped off on something like this.
i agree that $80 for the pair is overpriced, but that's life. all of us get ripped off when buying these types of goods.
i just bought my wife a diamond bracelet and got taken because i am an average no-connection-know-nothing-about-jewelry consumer who bought at the mall. but she loves it so it was worth it.
now go buy those frames, put them on, stand back and say, 'damn, i just put the finishing touches on my superhot car!!!'. you'll forget about the $80.
after all, what's money compared to how you feel? i hope i've swayed you!

The closest thing to an OEM license plate holder is the one with the dealers name on it.
I've seen people pay $60 for "Mercedes of Beverly Hills" frame on ebay.
The $20 one on ebay is just as good as the $80 dealer one.

I Can't lie
I read through this post and decided to post with every intention of calling you crazy for not spending the 30 dollars for the set of ebay ones and posting pics telling you it was a no brainer and to save your money. Instead I searched ebay and your right they are just not the same nor even close to as nice. Spend the $80 and complete the look..

i believe that is the "oem" license plate frame because thats the one i have and it came in a package that read licensed by mercedes-benz. also, it is easy to see the difference in quality between that "oem" version and the other ones dealers carry. the crappier one seems to have mercedes benz or amg etched in and bare, giving it a 2-D look, and the nicer "oem" one has a clear bubble over the Mercedes benz logo which gives it a 3d look. also, if i remember correctly, the crappy version comes in a 3rd party packaging which looked generic compared to the "oem" version which came with a benz package. there was also a pretty big difference in price too.

its not about being able to afford them, just didnt see the value in that investment at that moment.......you dont get rich by throwing away money......
