Its almost always the pump...even if its just one door because of the way the manifold is made.

I had similar problem on the driver side doors, on my 2003 S430, all I had to do is reset (you might need to replace) a fuse in the right rear seat fuse box.

I know you can do it with CarSoft, some reason the pump may have ran too long and it trips, my car did it due to a vacuum leak. One of my rear doors does not work. The code it pulls is for the door module, not the pump. Just wondering if that sounds right. Going by the previous post it still maybe the pump.

Forget the fuse. Just disconnect the battery, wait a few minutes, reconnect, start the car, if you see errors on display (usally BAS,ABS.......) just turn steering far left then far right, recalibrate windows and sunroof by opening all and closing all and you are good to go. If you have a problem with the pump then the problem will return and that's when you know you need to visit workshop. Good luck.

this happened to me as well. they had to replace the pump behind the radio/nav control. then they had to replace a door module in my drivers door i believe. all was covered under the starmark warr, but can't imagine what it would have cost w/o the warranty.

This is actually a common problem according to my dealer, and it just happens to happen right after warranty is over

Replacing the pump will fix, but it is expensive...... you're looking at about $1k

The closing assist pump has safeties for time and pressure/vacuum. There is an excellent article on its operation (at least on the 140 body)

Before replacing the pumps or anything, why not try the resetting fuse first? (which in my case fixed both driver side doors for me =-)) I can take a pic of the fuse if anybody still care...
