since my car came with the lowenhart ld5's I belive the size is 20x9.5 with 245/35/20 I was wondering if i could swap out the rears too a 275 or 285 size is this possible? or a bad idea?

285 will prob rub...go with the 275/30

so I could swap out the rears to a 275/30 and it wont rub when its droped? will the speedo be of since the height aspect ratio is lower than the front 35?

275 rubs sometimes, 285 will definately rub and the meat of the tire will wont be flush with the wheel.

If my wheels are 20x8.5 can I still put the 275's on?

I don't think so, I think 9.5 is the lowest if you want to use 275. The link I gave you should be able to answer that.

Only a custom offset wheel specific to you car would a 285 work. I saw a guy with Zone wheels with 285's, I think he had a 44 or 46 offset...... 99% of the time a 275 is as wide as your gonna go, especially if your dropped. I run a Nitto(used by renntech) 275/30/19 and I am really low with rear well fender modifcation. The Nitto is the widest tract 275 around.. Im ran a 20x10 in the past with a toyo T1R 275/30/20 with it slammed and it worked nicely.. I would highly recommend the toyo T1R on a 20x10 rear due to it's rounded tract that tucks nicely..You will be rubbing with a 20x10 rear that is lowered so to get it right you need to mod the well and run the right tire...good luck

well i guess it will be 275's then on 9.5 or 10" since these tire are new I m gonna try to find two rear LD5 I understand it might be a little hard but I guess I can try. So my mod list seems good now, rims,tint,drop, and S55 exhaust.
