Bluetooth Phone System
I currently have a 2001 S500, when i first purchased the car it didnt come with the cradle or phone however, i did see the wiring. Anyways, i am looking into purchasing the V60 Cradle eliminator kit and the v60 adaptor with bluetooth. Would this combination work for me? i have a blackberry and an treo, not sure if it makes a difference or not being bluetooth technology.

It is also well suited to any Mercedes that contains D2B fiber optics (see chart), even if the car has not previously had a phone system installed. It is called the ARGOS Integration Kit (AIKD2B). The AIK is a solution that allows you to use any brand phone and allows you to choose any carrier you desire. The only requirement is that the phone have Bluetooth capability (most phones do). In addition, it allows you to simply get into the car with the phone in your pocket, purse, even your breifcase in the trunk. It connects wirelessly to your phone (after an initial one time security 'pairing' procedure). This is not another aftermarket solution that makes use of just the built in microphone and loudspeakers. Full integration means, using the COMAND Navigation head unit, radio or steering wheel controls to dial, accept/reject calls, browse the cell phone's directory, voice dailing, etc. The unit simply plugs into the network connection that is in your trunk (hidden by a carpet panel).
Are you saying that I dont need previous Wire setup?
My 2002 S500 never had a phone or anything before.

if you're looking for ARGOS PM me. I will be selling mine since my car got totaled and my new one has bluetooth. I will not be selling the D2B cable with it. It will work with a crackberry 8320+ series.

Argos
I just bought a S430 2001 and tried to register the integrated phone with my other AATT cell phones. ATT, says no! I am now looking for someone to tell me the Argos AIk D2B will work with my IPhone bluetooth and function like the factory installation. Have any of you heard about anyone having success with this? The dealer just quoted me $3,600 for factory type installation to make the old phone work.

Igouveia,
It would help you to read and absorb what has been written in the same string before your post. See Post #5 above. Then see https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...77#post2788377, especially posts #1, 2, and 6. If you follow what's there, you can have a Bluetooth phone using MB equipment for around $750 plus the cost of the phone.
