Thanks. Hopefully you got the 20 inch
LM-5. I've seen the 18 inch ones and they don't look as good. Rear roof spoiler is also from Lorinser as well as the rear lip spoiler.

ansonn, i'm usually not of fan of the aftermarket changes because i think that the original version is always the cleanest look. but....your car looks great! it has a very unique smooth powerful look...congrats! one question....why not leave the star on the hood?

S Class Black VS Briliant Silver?
Ok, comparing this Lorinser and the black one posted (titled Lorinser DMT )...
which color looks better?
I personally think its the Silver, however the black is awesome. It seems that Briliant Silver look best during sunset when its just about getting dark. The Black looks great mid day, especailly Obsedian Black....
Anyone agree? Whats U'R color of choice for the S Class?

I personally think the Black Lorinser kit would look nice on a black car only IF the mesh was kept silver and not painted black. Otherwise, I think it's way too dark and doesn't emphasize the trademark Lorinser mesh. I like the contrast between the Black kit and the silver mesh on it (I forgot who recently posted a pic of his front end with the same black Lorinser kit but with silver. If that guy could post pics of his entire car, I would love to see it). On my car, since it is silver and the mesh is also silver, there's not much of a contrast but then again for a silver car, the less the contrast the better, I guess. I thought about getting the mesh grilles painted black because I've seen a white S-class with the same Lorinser kit but with the mesh painted black and it looked really good. I can imagine it would look with silver but I can't be entirely sure. Hopefully someone will or have done a silver lorinser with painted black mesh grilles.

I think the car looks GREAT!!! with the silver mesh and wouldn't change it.One reason I like your car is because it has that "classic" look unlike many overdone ones.
Did U buy the original version at first then add the lorinser kit?
By the way how much is the kit, including installation etc?

Were you at the Benzsport Autofest back on Dec 1? I remember seeing a really nice Lorinser S500 with Oregon plates and then an X5 4.6, so I am guessing that is you?

Have you thought about getting rid of the orange sidemarker, or do you like that on there?

Matrix,

Thanks for the awesome comments. Yes, I had bought the car with the AMG sport kit and wheels and decided I wanted something more individual and started saving up. One thing that motivated me was that I had to have dubs or 20" rims. I've never had 20" rims before and that was pretty much the motivation.

SF280,

YES! That was me at the Benz Fest in San Jose along with the recently aquired 4.6is. Good obersation! Towards the end I was parked next to my friend with the Capri Blue C32.

I have thought about getting rid of the orange side marker but personally, I think it's a safety feature especially at night since it's illuminated. I don't think it drags down the entire theme of the car too much but if I ever did want to change it, it's pretty simple - about 15 minutes. I guess I'll get a set and give it a try!

Tmushy,

We're doing a group buy here in the Bay Area CA on the 2003 Tail lights for $125.00 (excluding applicable CA sales tax). Shipping is extra but if anyone on the board is within a 50 mile radius, I will bring it to their door and help them install it if they want. These tailights have that extra plastic pin and bolt removed for simple screw on install. Please let me know.

My bad....Ansonnn-
I have a Brabus 2001 S class and I am interested in that group buy on the taillights, but i'm in LA. Also, I heard the '03 headlights won't fit b/c of the mounting brackets. Do you know anything about the headlights?

ano0oj and JamE55,

Thanks for the compliment, guys

vraa,

I usually don't take pics of the Volvo cause I haven't had time to wash it. LOL In regards to the SL55, the number 10 means I am 10th on the waiting list for the car. Still waiting on it.

tmushy,

Send me a PM if you (or your fater) is interested in the tail lamps.

Crankin,

No, it's ongoing but send me a PM if you are interested.

Phil

What is the price for the new rear taillights for the S if not in the group buy? I really could use them for my S500. By the way, the Lorisner Kit looks really, really good.
