Drunk Driver Totalled Me Out!!!
Well, I was having a good friday night, while sitting at red light in Houston on the feeder road off US59. Then I look up and with no time to respond the headlights of a 2004 Chevy Tahoe came smashing into my rear and he never even hit his brakes. The impact knock me through the intersection and and about 1/8 mi past the light. The guy was drunk and about 5 teenagers jumped out his vehicle with the beer/liquor into a vehicle following him. He tried to drive off but luckily an officer on the other side of the freeway saw what occurred and cut him off and immeadiately yanked him from the driver seat. Needless to say I had to watch the fire dept. spray water into the rear and cut off the side back panel to cut out the battery. The guy had no insurance or driver's license. One great thing about the cars we own is the safety. Me and my other 2 passengers walked away with some injuries but nothing really severe. Pics posted below...WHAT A WASTE!

Funny! Because that the first thing I said after I saw the pictures when I downloaded them. He could have just said he didn't like my magnet!!!

Absolutely plan to get another W220. After getting hit by a 2004 Tahoe at 50-60mph and walking away, I can't see getting anything else. The safety alone has sold me on this vehicle besides all the other great features of the car. I am searching now.

The insurance company totalled the vehicle, so they took possession of it from the storage lot, I was only able to retrieve my personal items from the vehicle.

Yes, I have full coverage including gap just in case I needed it. My insurance has cut the check which was more than what I owed so I will be getting another W220 soon. I have spotted one in the Dallas area. For some reason the W220 in Houston seem to be ran hard and over priced.

Yes, both doors open. The rear passenger was on the right side and got out of that side. Also I was able to open the rear door on the driver side without issue.
I brag about the safety of my car as much as I do about the 748ft lbs of torque. Glad you're ok

Damn, that's hard hitting. Drunk driving is serious guys. He could have killed him, his passengers, in both cars. Glad to see you are okay, it's amazing at this late date people are still driving drunk.

man look at that crumple and yet everything on the interior looks prestine! back seat didnt even get dislodged or anything. Glad to hear you guys got out alright and that the *($&#*(%&(*# driver was taken into custody. what are you gonna get? any ideas?
