Hot and Cold?!?

Does anyone have any idea why when I put the heat on i my car...after a while it blows cold air????
Basically, if I set it to 80....or hot it blows hot air...the moment i go down to 78...75...72.....it starts to blow cold air again....so i bring it up to HI...........then its HOT....what gives?

Search "All Open Forums" using "duovalve" - you'll get plenty of writeups. Here's one on complete replacement for an E-Class - S-Class may be similar. https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...hlight=hot+air

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
First

run the onboard diagnostics.
http://www.eclassbenz.com/node/27
then punch in the values.
then check your coolant level
finally clean and repair the duo-valve after you test it.By following the diy repair procedure on benzworld.org W210 diy section.
Most times a simple firm drum like tap on the side of each valve with the handle of a screw driver will free up sticking duo-valves,without resorting to taking them apart.
http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...ontrol%20Valve
Far cheaper to repair or thunk on the side than spend $170 for a part that rarely fails and a simple cleaning resolves the issue.

The diagnostics

may work on the S platform,I keep forgetting you have an S now
The d valve listed is the w210 one so autohausaz.com will quote one for the S class. In any case between the nice diy up above and a tap of the screw driver you should arrive at heat nirvana
Lock up your cars ,Brooklyn

look what they did to a forum members car,the world is going nuts.
