Quick Question about lowering 2000 S500

Hello all. I'm visiting from the W210 board. I am about to pull the trigger on a 2000 S500 and wanted to know if this model year simply require new springs for lowering.

Thanks in Advance,
tbDallas

You have 3 choices:

1) Lowering the car with washers (tricking the sensors)
2) Adjustable links
3) Lowering Module

Listed by cheapest to most expensive.

The W220 uses either Airmatic or Active Body Control. No springs.

Would you mind giving me a recommendation on a lowering module and an estimated price? Is it fairly easy? Sorry for all of the questions...

Why would you be sorry for asking questions? This is why we have these forums my friend!

If you don't want to pay retail, you can find them on eBay:

http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=mer...+elm&_osacat=0

Sometimes people sell them on this website.

They are manufactured by:

RENNtech
Brabus
Lorinser

I personally have a RENNtech v2 module in my car, installation was a breeze and it works awesome. I paid $1395 for it.
