Yep, my dealer wanted over $150 to change out the filters when I had my last Service B done. I said "no thanks" and bought them from Autohaus for $35 shipped.

Okay, so I received my BMC filters this weekend, and installed them.
THANKS OXYGEN![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
You only need a T25 torx fitting on a ratchet for speed. Take the top cover off, simply pull up.
Six T25 screws on each cover, remeber to loosen with a cross pattern so you do not warp the plastic top, or crak it![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
After removing the stock filters, I shopped vac out all of the fine debrie that had settled in the air boxes![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
Install the new BMC filters, on the top cover, they stick better and seal off the intake side easier if you do this guys, as opposed to simply putting them in the lower side of the air box.
tighten the screws hand tight, wola, your done.
I did notice a slight increase in turbo noise, which is a GOOD thing. And I did take out a auto C6, which is even a better thing![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
THANKS AGAIN OXYGEN![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
See yeah![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
Total time about 20 minutes, including cleaning up the engine covers
THANKS OXYGEN

My dad has a '04 S430 and I always wanted to check/replace the airfilter but cant figure how to take off the main plastic cover. I can easily take off the front plastic cover but always having a hard time on figuring on how to take off the main one. I just dont want to break it if I forced it or pry it.
