S600 Ipod Integration Suggestions??
I recently purchased a 2005 S600 and have been very disappointed that it does not have a factory Ipod or MP3 integration. Any suggestions for an integration kit that would allow me to run the ipod off the command system? Has anyone installed/ paid to have installed any type of ipod integration?

Welcome to my world. I had the same complaint with my 220 S65.....no Ipod, no satellite radio, no bluetooth and the nav system was potentially the most time intensive thing I've ever operated, so I never wanted to use it.
My dealer wanted $1200 just to install satellite radio alone. I recently had the Kenwood 7120 installed witih all of the above features and DVD and it cost me about $1800-1900 out the door. It was the best thing I ever did. The installer even managed to keep the 'volume' and 'track' controls on the steering wheel. I haven't listened to the radio since and use the nav (Garmin) all the time.
I happen to have an extra custom wood grain dash piece (not sure what color yours is) that fits perfect with anything that has a 6" screen. It took some modding to make it work properly.....my installer and I had a hell of a time to get it perfect.....hence the reason I have 2 of them. If you're interested PM me.

Welcome to the forum - the search tool is your friend, and yes, it has been done. See https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-ele...mentation.html and https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-ele...ml#post2471051. The Gateway 500 would be installed as it was in my car, and would function the same way. I like the unit, and sound quality is superb. I just wish its installation guide were better.
You can also check the iTronics and mObridge units; I have no experience with them, but a search will get you information.
